I'm in a similar position as you, having to work a day job and doing IM in your free time. A tip, try to organize and prioritize your life. Schedule yourself well and work like a horse during IM hours to stay productive.

First plan your timing on doing both IM and real job but don't give up on what you love

Get a real job and make IM your side income. It won't be easy but you need to do it.
