Hi all
I am sharing with you my feelings about internet marketing since it brought me so much frustration lately. I have been in IM since 3 years , but I am making now an average of 500 dollars monthly....in exceptional months I make more than 1000 bucks , but this does not happen often.
I can not reach the point where I relay on IM for full living, not even on a minimum wage basis.
Now my life partner has lost his job, and I feel I have to give up trying and go get any REAL job , even in retail or something. There are Bills and rent to be paid .......:02:
On the other hand I really love what I am doing. I have 2 blogs, and I started a YouTube channel and I make money by CPA and Adsense .Givining up in this stage means everything will be lost.

Do not know what to do,,,:(

How are you making those $500? Can't you just scale that up?

Not sure why you posted in the journey section, but anyway, maybe both you and your partner should get jobs.
Work, pay your bills and save your money to invest in IM. You can work IM in your freetime/weekends.
Taking a temporary break from IM and working offline in the real world can push you to make things happen, especially once you are reminded of what it is like to work for an employer.

You need to suck it in and get a job for a while. You can still do IM on the side, it just takes longer.

just keep your blogs while you have new job, you will only need 2-3 hours a day to write some content. Here some ideas:

1. tell your unemployee partner to write content or help you with the sites
2. try to make more money with new fresh ideas to your sites
3. build a complete pbn, 8-12 sites.

Good luck.

Thanks for your replies
I tried to scale up the 500 dollars but it does not work because I am the only one creating content, and when I try to write too much , the quality drops and the visitors too. I can not use micro job sites for articles because they are not in English , and my niche is sort of specific.
My unemployed partner is working on his career, he has to attend events, send resumes, and study for a professional exam in order to find a job ASAP.
OK I guess time to go back to the real world and get a real job.

You obviously have some online marketing skills, so why not offer your services for a few hours per day?

SEO
Content Writing
Data Entry
Virtual Assistant

It's easy to make a decent wage just from doing some freelance work.

I agree with W130SN as well.

There's nothing wrong with getting a part/full time job.

Keep your head up OP. I never had much success in IM before going through several years of ups and downs.

You will be amazed with how many people here long for the type of earnings you have now. Don't give up, try to maintain it even if you get another jon

Never give up, maybe you can get a part time job and dedicate the rest of the day to your Internet Marketing career.

Good luck to you op. Stay positive. I've been through much worse and now I'm back here again. All roads lead back to IM. :)

i think your looking at this opportunity in the wrong way,

If you get a job in the electronics shop in sales with a big store your on a winner convert your sales knowledge with
Amazon commission and your be rich.

all your do is watch what sells and get them same products on Amazon and make grate commission.

and yes it will work.

The only reason ppl are making cash because there reading about the latest trends and products and then designing a website around them products and getting
a Amazon commission link and pushing long tail keywords in blogs to the website it that easy.

Read about new trends.
Make web site on the new trend.
Get a amazon product for trend for commision link.
Use a keyword tool to get longtail keyeords for the trend.
Write loads of blogs and use the lontail keywords and point link to the website in the new blogs.
Get rich lol

good luck mate

stay strong brother, life of a freelancer's got deep downs and high rises, hang tight and you will succeed

Just keep hustling. Doing real world job for maintaining a livelihood isn't something to be ashamed of when most people are struggling to find even these kind of jobs.

Like someone said in the thread, you hustle through your day job. But when you are home, try not to fool around much. I mean relax, take a few hours off, have nice dinner and all that. Doing all that will still leave you with 2-3 hours in hand. Use that time to your advantage.

Moreover, when you will start getting salary from IRL job, that will aid in also scaling your IM business, not just one site but many. That will also be a motivating factor and that you might be able to quit job soon.

Try something new, like selling on eBay for instance.
