We were discussing another, 3rd party business designing
the website...not the customer that you're trying to land
as a client.
Obviously, you don't want to start things off by insulting
the very ones you're trying to get paid from.

the original method is on his WF blog, however I'm looking for the complete thread, all 1 billion posts of it. A couple people have mentioned they saved it, but none have been responsive. Wanted to see if a Black Hatter had it.

Here's a question for you guys do you think hand written letters would get an even better response rate? Obviously it would take more time but maybe it would be worth it?
 
Speaking only for this particular business owner, I occasionally get the handwritten flyer and I toss it immediately. I would probably handle a letter the same way unless I was looking for some kid to clean my yard.

There is a place for the personal touch, for sure, but business contacts should be professional grade.

You might even consider investing in raised print letter head with a bit of color in the logo/header. To me personally that immediately says professional.

maybe make a clone of their site WITH the autoresponder and say.."what the difference between your site and my version?"

They'll see it immediately...
 
And does anyone have a link to the thread or the supposed ebook?

You can also become an aweber affiliate, talk to the site owner about how important email lists can be and get them to sign up for aweber via your affiliate link (30% Recurring Commission). Charge them extra for tutoring on using aweber and extra for adding an email submit form to their site.
 
This is a great idea thanks for the post I'm trying to install an auto-responder now and play around see how it works add one to my site. I was looking at some open source AR software but windows isn't agreeing with MySQL server I'm trying to install to make it work right now. I guess its just better to go ahead and chop out some cheddar for a really good AR program.
 
I am so definitely going to do this for sure.........

Already begun the process.
