A Sincere Approach for IM Newbies?!

Due to unforseen exterior circumstances, I have been driven to consider IM as my source of revenue, I have became recently unemployed, and finding a new job is proving increasingly more difficult by the day.

When it comes to the internet, I am your average internet user, use social networks to communicate, torrents to download my favorite movies, games and applications, post on forums, and that's pretty much it.

I haven't any specific expertise that I can offer as freelancing service or otherwise.

I am a smart person though, and I recognize that there is a great deal of information in this forum, the thing is, while I have invoices starting to accumulate and having to choose which one will be pendant for the next month or which service will I choose to shutdown, I just can't afford what many other people here seem to do, test a hundred different things until they found a profitable market.

I'm am in no way asking to be spoonfeed as to what I should start doing online, I'm merely asking for a sincere opinion as to what type of things can an average internet user such as myself do to make money to pay the most elemental living expenses.

I'm not looking to make more than $500 per month at this point, that would pretty much cover all the bills that I have on a monthly basis as wheel as my living expenses.

I don't know if this is relevant, but I'm from Europe.

I understand what is being said.

But the thing is, given my short resume and the fact that I'm from Europe.

What things would you guys advise me to focus on, in order to bring some money by the end of the month?

The good thing is that your unemployed...., Believe me its a good thing.

The biggest reason why most IM people fail at making money online is lack of urgency.

Its true.

If your in a job that does enough to pay the bills then your urgency is not right up there so you will give up faster if things dont start off well.

And also, think about it, how many forums can you post on, how many blogs can you set up - Just in 1 day that you are not having to go to work???

This is a hidden gem for you in disguise my friend.

I would start off with Clickbank and advertising peoples products.

Reasons: It costs nothing to do - you dont need a website of your own.

Affiliate Marketing is definatly what i believe you should focus on. And when i say focus i mean you spend every hour a day that you would normally be in a job, working on getting more people to click your hop link for whatever product.

If you do not even have the stomach and will to do this then you dont deserve to make it online.

Looking at your ability to communicate with the written word in English, you could make money offering your services as a writer either to the internet community as a freelancer or by selling your articles to Associated Content and some of the other sites that offer that option.

You would be lucky to start a method which works straight away, it's very much a trial and error business im afraid.

I 2nd BassTrackerBoats post. You write well, plus content writing and Copywriting is the base foundation for successful Internet Marketing as a whole. Almost everything in IM is based around content in some form, whether it's sales copy, or writing successful ads for Craigslist etc.

You can start by creating article packs and offer competitive pricing at all of the IM forums to undercut your competition. Then progress into the outsourcing of content writing where you pay low for the content to be written and then sell it higher and keep all profits after flipping it.

That's where I started and am glad I did.

I suggest starting BH then once you are sleeping on enough dough under your bed, you can choose any route/method you want and make it work.

I will have to agree as well. I was overwhelmed when I started IM and tried a little of this a little of that and then got frustrated when nothing worked. I have since chosen one method that I have put my efforts into and am starting to see it pay out. Not to say I don't stray every once in a while, but once you find a method put all your effort into it.

niche sites works great for me.its easy too but it might take about two or three months till you hit the 500 per month marl.

hey why dont u register yourselves at freelancer and elance and offer your strengths as services ... meanwhile u can set up blogs advertising good products and learn something new ? just my two pence.. i am a noob just like you ...so understand the frustration..

Article freelancing is an option for you for making around 500$/month,
but the problem is that you will have to work hard.
It is not easy as it sounds. You have to provide good content to your customers
if you want them to stick with you.

Some good advice here. I would add that you shouldn't get sucked into thinking you need to spend a ton of money on services or software to get going. Yes, that means you'll do a lot of things manually and on your own for now, but that is actually a good thing in my book because you'll completely understand what it takes to make $$ when you start outsourcing. These forums have more than enough free information to get you started!

Just to echo a few others, you do write well but starting out on Elance and other freelancing sites is a pain in the booty.

I can send you an email of a guy who needs a writer if you like. I literally don't have the time to take on another project and I've put him off for a few months until I can pick it up, but really I'd rather not let him wait. *Disclaimer: I've never worked for him before, he contacted me through an old advert of mine.*

Although I can write well and relatively fast, I don't really know what should I write about?!

I've tried to post translation services on some IM forums and freelance sites before, and I haven't got a single order on them!

Play around with it. Check out the link to TVision 10's thread and join some article directories and clickbank.

Use Google Trends, Google Keyword Tool and MS to piece together what exactly you should write about. Don't just guess.

As you're bi/multi-lingual why not find some sites (using MS) and analyse their site in whatever other languages you know. Approach them and say you'll translate the site for X amount as they are missing out on a huge market.

Fellow noob here, it's hard going I know. I am still searching for my niche I am very interested in Movie or upload sites, seems likes a few quid to be made there.

If u can write eloquently and with passion u will do well with keywords and be in demand.
