A simple strategy, probably somewhat inefficient in the future.

@jopthedev hi, I see that the lowest ask and highest bid volumes are too large; we may wait for all this volume to be cleaned up, right? It's so long that we will not execute many trades as expected

@MiiaHash

Your example is not clear to me.

On one hand, you mention covering 5 prices with $1,000 each, for a total of $5,000 capital.

On the other hand, you mention placing a $15,000 buy order on a single price. That translates to covering 5 prices with $15,000 each, for a total of $75,000 capital.

Imagine a scenario where the price is 1.0000 initially, then falls to 0.9995, before recovering and climbing back up to 1.0000

A standard grid bot would buy on 5 occasions as the price crossed all 5 grid lines on the way down. At 0.9995, all of your capital would be tied up by the 5 open buy positions.

The grid bot would later sell on 5 occasions as the price crossed all 5 grid lines on the way back up. At 1.0000, all of your capital would be freed up.

Is this how your custom bot operates?

What was the price range of your grid, and how much capital did you use to make that $1200 per month?
I created these strategies without much knowledge, and my initial explanation was really poor. Basically, the bot is a traditional grid bot that operates within clear lines. The goal is simply to obtain tiny profits, which, when consistent, end up being really decent profits at the end of the month.

The idea is simple: you set the bot in a range, for example, 0.9985 - 1.0000. Never set it above 1.000 and never make purchases below 0.9985 (to avoid problems, however, if you trust cryptocurrencies a lot, you can make it so that if it drops to 0.9985, it buys absolutely the entire balance) or more advanced strategies, then, at each level, for example 0.9986, 0.9987, you place buy orders. Once a buy order is placed, you immediately place a sell order one level above. You do this 5 times (or the number that your capital allows) for each level. For example, if you have 1.0000 at 0.9985, there would be 15 levels, so you would need 15x(number every line). In a practical example, you would do something like 15x ($100 order amount) x 5=7,500 USD. This would be all that is necessary to cover all levels. The objective is to have enough money to trade continuously. It is somewhat difficult to trade constantly, as sometimes the price can move in seconds and other times in hours/days, so this is purely a matter of trial and error until you get good numbers and refine your strategy until you achieve something worthwhile.

I've been away for a while, this strategy is still viable, I don't use cryptos anymore, so I don't use it much anymore, but it's super good. This strategy becomes very good with capital over $100,000 USD, because Binance gives you a special account that allows more trades, lower commissions (they even pay you for providing money to peers), and an endless list of benefits.

These levels are usually settled every 1-2 hours. In “stable” pairs, each level can have hundreds of millions and be settled completely in minutes. However, what matters here is time. Once time passes, your trades take priority because you are placing them before most people. The more time passes, the more orders you place per day because you are moving your orders ahead of the grid.

How many trades do you get per day with FDUSD/USDT? I tried earlier and 1 hour later my trade hasn't filled up yet.

nice breakdown. grid farming stable pairs w no maker fee makes sense, but ur margins razor thin. bot latency, spread spikes, or exchange side tweaks can eat that 0.01% fast. scaling w subaccounts smart, just watch black swan moves grids drown quick if peg breaks. solid side hustle tho.

Hi everyone, first of all, thanks to @MiiaHash —these threads gave me some ideas and helped me launch my first bots as well.
I'm looking for people who'd like to connect to discuss strategies. Don't hesitate to answer here if you are running bots. And @MiiaHash I'd be very interested to know if you're still trading these days. thanks

0.01% grid is almost unprofitable: spread plus slippage will leave you with no profit. Manual trading is practically a losing proposition; to succeed, you need a bot and a large capital. Raising it to 0.03–0.1% is the only way to have a chance.
