One reason is to run your soft 24x7 with unlimited bandwidth. Often cheaper than buying / hosting a server at home or at your place of biz.

Because we don't have a 1,000Mbps connection at home.

And no ISP will let you use 20,000GB of traffic from home.

I also use it to take advantage of using TONS of bandwidth and also don't want my ISP contacting me asking what I am up to or shutting me down.

    thanks guys...

Also if you are using shared vps.. how do you keep things like your campaigns private.

    For example keywords etc....

Do you get your own personal login etc...

With VPS every user gets he's own login details. From user point of view you have your personal computer.

    Cheers

The main reason to run software off site on a vps is that some software eats up bandwith. Your ISP only allows you so much per month and if you go over that they will cancel your account.

Another reason is it allows you to access your software remotely via a laptop, iPhone or iPad. That's right you can run any of the black hat software (senuke, scrapebox, xrumer, ect) riding down the road on your phone. It's not as user friendly but in a pinch it works great.

If you have a VA it also allows them to have access to the software and you do not have to buy them a license.

http://www.vpsland.com has some decent windows VPS's that start around $25/mo.

    Hope that helps.

All the reasons above but it's even more important if you have a team as it allows them to access the tools remotely and they don't get slowed down by their poor bandwidth.
