Hi,

I am all new to this forum and I have been doing some research on SEO articles. I have a question I would love to ask and I need someone to be as specific as possible. Here is it: What would be the right article words count or article length for writing a SEO article that would rank in google?

My advice is to not bother about keyword stuffing and focus on article quality and uniqueness

What a great question! I analyzed the top 100 results for "SEO tips 2016"

Strong statistical correlation for this keyword with about 3500 words on the whole page, about 220 sentences on the whole page, and about half of those sentences containing matches. So if you are looking for competitive parity on this exact keyword then this is what you are shooting for. The values do change from keyword to keyword. So you have to measure every time if you want to minimize the amount of work you need to do.

There are 430 keyword matches in the page source on average for page 1 results. I suggest visiting the page one results and checking out how they achieve these measures without running into trouble with Google.

Do not worry about word count. Just write clean, concise article on the topic. What info you are sharing with your reader is more important, not the word count!

I agree to the answers of other members. Basically for SEO, It depends on the content and the keyword targetted on the article.
My ideal word count on the articles would be 500+ words.

300 words gets the job done but the more the better.

Make the article interesting, relevant and engaging to the reader.
I always tell my writers if the 1,000 word article is becoming boring at 850, stop it dead then and don't pad it out with fluff & filler.
Likewise if you're in full flow and it runs to 1200 words even better, but it has to be a flowing article.

Don't worry about word count.. Its simply basis of your readers and keywords you targeted..Mostly use of 500+ content per article..It is easy for reading and understanding to user

The ideal length of the article would be around 500 - 750 words and just make your article as unique, relevant and it should impress the readers.

Content is the important one for ranking.
Quality is important than Quantity so try to give quality content.
Maximum 300-500 word quality content was more useful to get good rankings.

Could you please show me your article later? After you finish of course.

Do not bother about length mate, just hit them above 300 words if it is Micro Niche Site/Blog

Yes as all said quality plays a vital role rather than quantity. Try to make your content quality and unique. Use 500-750 words to make an easy and interesting content for readers which helps you to gain more rankings.

Ideal articles are usually those that have a word count between 400-1,000 words length. Your article should be relevant and useful to your readers, incorporate it with strong and eye-catching headlines, proper keyword, proper title, images and videos (if possible) to make it more entertaining. The longer time your readers stay on your website, the better. Remember that it should be unique, well-written, grammatically excellent and well-structured. Don't forget to update your content regularly.

Make the article as interesting and engaging as you possibly can. Shoot for at least 500+. The more you can add in there the better.
