A request to all sellers

Dear Sellers,

I have a sincere request to you.

I have seen several buyers here asking for creating bulk emails or accounts in social media. But the issue is, you wouldn't know what for they are used.

Personally when I posted an ad earlier stating item for sale, I received several spam emails & phone messages asking to send the item to some location and get online check as payment. Some emails seems to be like from a true id.

Recently when I posted an ad stating room available to share, I received similar emails & whatsapp messages asking to accept online check & return back excess money before the person step's in.

This spam is continuing for years and I am sure they will buy these verified emails / phone numbers from some seller who will not know how they might be used and in turn pose danger to them later.

So, if you wish, please verify the usage purpose of these bulk orders which might save the seller and several innocents.

This is an unrealistic request. There’s no way to actually verify the usage without violating some agreement between buyer & seller.

There’s also no way to verify whether or not the buyer is being honest when giving their reason.

Receiving spam is part of the game in online sales if you list your contact information in a public setting. To add in some arbitrary verification process is just unrealistic.

Scam on online sales is understandable. But how about those who receive threat emails asking for money ? There are people who commit suicide due to such activities.

See the attachment news and you will know how seriously it affects the world. I don't think it's an unrealistic request.

Spam and scam aren’t synonymous. I feel like that is an isolated incident that you’re using as a greater point. Email spam isn’t causing deaths like that.

Sounds like dying cause a cheat code didn't work or someone got banned in a game. I feel like they don't know the real reason he killed himself.

Search online stating "online scam suicide" and you will be able to find how many such incidents happen across the world. Just for earning few dollars, should sellers here support such incidents?

This is happening across the world. I don't think it's a bad request to sellers. Not sure if any sellers faced any bad experience like this ?

And to eliminate this "issue" you suggest that the seller tracks the use of the sold item?

You can't blame the tools for what people do with them. Guns don't kill people just like facebook accounts can't scam people.

Actually guns do kill people,

A knife attack spree has less casualties than a gun one.
Furthermore, a physically unfit person has zero chance of doing damage using any other tool than a gun.

So yeah, guns are definitely and statistically helping in more people being killed.

A gun doesn't wake up one morning and decides to kill someone. People kill people using guns. Before guns existed people used other methods for killing each other.

You don't need to tell me about guns being efficient, I was in the army.

This became pretty stupid at this point, and I assume that if both of us were speaking in out native language now, this arguement would have never existed.
