Sending Random Emails in Bulk consider as SPAM.

Well if you send bulk email to someone who are not even subscribed user, definitely will be considered as spam.

Yeah it will be consider as spam on sometime.. But you want to avoid means, don't use more images in mail body simple text mails are not consider as spam.

I was going to ask the same question (minus the random email list part lol opt in here), as sometimes I'm too lazy to use a landing page. Is it ok with aweber or mailchimp to send out a nice article email + 1 pic and just drop the affiliate link directly?
I think you should be good. Although, maybe use a link shortener for the affiliate or custom URL redirect since email providers may flag the email as spam becuase of direct affiliate links. There's also a chance of users reporting it as spam but I don't see that happening in case they opted-in for the emails or are old subscribers and if you're email has interesting content.

Yep, that will be considered spam. Not to mention if you use a public email list, it might contain invalid emails or even honeypots.
