A n00bs tale

Hi,

I have been reading through the fourms for about a month or so, and have now decided it's time to jump in with both feet and hopefuly make a bit of a splash. As the title says I am a complete newbie at IM, but it seems there are meany expirianced members here, so I am hopeing you guy's wont mind giving a little guidance.

I will be signing up models to various cam sites useing the sites afiliete programs, I will be listing the links over a number of classafied ad's as well as anywhere else where I find postings for freelance work.

However, I have a few questions, one of the sites i am looking to use offers paymet through Payza, Payoneer, Paxum, Check, Direct Deposit.

From what i have read there are minimal differances between payza payoneer and paxum. At the moment I have no method set up to recive payments, I was hopeing that i could get some input from the people at BHW on what you use for reciving payments, benifits and disadvantages.

So far I have indexed close to 100 craigslist type classafied ad sites where i will be posting adverts to recruit. What would be the best method for tracking the proformance of the adverts or is this normaly done through the affiliete link?


Before I get started I am trying to get at an idea of everything involved to ensure I am not missing something detramental to making this work.

Once i have a grasp of the basics and how the process works, I plan to set up a site, and do offline marketing as well.

If anyone has any links to infomation that would be useful, or guides on IM, could you let me know either the title or the link.

Also for anyone currently working in this market, I have seen that a lot of sites do not have a model referal program, but allow you to sign up to the site as a studio.

Is it posibule to sign up to be a studio but be purly online, ie. have the girls work from home?

From what I understand about how the studio side of things work is that I will be paid for all the models, and then I must work out what each model is owed. Other than that I havnt been able to find much in the way of the studio acctually does.

So the proccess as i see it:

Sign up for account and recive affiliete link.
Write copy for the advert including the link.
Place advert.
Models sign up via link.
When model earns money I recive payment.

Are there any steps missing from the above?

First Goal to achive within a month:

The first goal i am looking to achive is to make $10 in a week, I want to try and get to making $10 a week within a month. If I am able to pass this goal, all the better, But i am setting the goal low as to avoid discoraging myself as i am aware it will take time to build up.

I will be posting updates on progress on a weekly bassis, covering what was done in the week, and the outcome of the work that was put in.

Hopefully this thread will also help anyone else looking for a start point in the world of IM.

if your aim is $10 you will make 0. Aim higher and don't put all your eggs in one basket, especially something like this that will takes ages to track and even longer to payout.

Thumbs up for actually getting on the front foot instead of just saying you're going to.

A lot of people make big claims that they're ready to make huge amount of money and then look at you with empty eyes and ask for a detailed road map.

Personally, I wouldn't be going down the cam model path because it's a fairly saturated niche dominated by some major players. That being said though, you've clearly put a bit of thought into it and you'll be all the better for the experience you're going to receive in the next few months.

I agree it is a good idea not to put all your eggs in one basket, but I find it's usualy better to get something set up and stable before moving on to the next thing. Once it's stable and i have an understanding of how it works, I will be looking to move on to more projects.

The idea behind setting the goal at $10 is that it is low enough to acctually be achiveabule as opposed to setting the goal at $1000 in the same time frame. Once i hit $10 the goal will move another $10.

Quick Update time:

Set up a Tumbler, set to auto post 5 new images a day.

Since setting up the blog I am up to 31 posts with 28 followers.

Now waiting on Payoneer card to set up the affiliate accounts.

While Waiting on the Payoneer card to arrive, I started to set up the layout for the site I will be using.

Will an affiliate link still track if it is opened within an iframe on my site or does it have to link through to the actual site?

Set up a studio account for webcam models. Need to learn more about the running of a studio before pushing this one live though,
Set up an account with crakrevenue
set up a tumblr for recruiting webcam models. currently 62 followers
set up a tumblr for crakrevenue offers, currently 48 followers
set up an account with linkbucks ( not really sure what to do with it, set up a few links on one of the tumblr accounts, trying to work out the best way to use it, also tracking clicks on the end page, and i seem to be getting more hits than what linkbucks is telling me, also has anyone else using linkbucks noticed that where there should be an advert is is just an error message saying they havnt configured something properly) will proberly not be doing to much with linkbucks, not for a while at least.

with the bulk of my income this month being ebay, i'm currently setting up an e-commerce store to sell the same items, my thinking behind this is I will be able to market the items in areas that have proved to provide a lot of traffic but keep removing my links to my ebay listings as i have under 1000 positive feedback.

Still working on the website for recruiting models, few pages left to write and all the graphics left to do.
Payoneer card arrived today to, time to get recruiting. Does anyone recruit for internet modeling? how do you find working with them?

once I finish one of these websites, I will start work on my tumblr bot, currently useing tumbstudio, but seem to only be able to queue 33 images at a time, also, only works with windows, witch is a pain as I am normaly on a linux based laptop. I will be configering the script to post over email, that way I should be able to queue the posts on my server and avoid any tumblr limitations on queues. I am thinking either php or python for this, still not 100% on witch i will go for yet.

The store for the dropship goods is being setup on wix, it's straight forward enough that it should be ready to go by the end of the week, but going from doing everything at a html level going to a graphical editor with no option to edit things in html, not so nice.

Also ran into a few more affilliate programs that seem promising, when I have some of the current projects finished I will get going on those.

what next?

ebay: keep adding products as my limits get raised enabling me to add more
crakrevenue= keep posting to tumblr 25 images a day, also going to start looking into forums and some other areas where I might be able to gain more traffic.
Linkbucks = I am really not to sure about this one, to make it worth while I need a lot more traffic, so I will probably just leave it as it is until I have a grater source of traffic.
Webcam recruit: Will be setting up accounts with sites that allow for agents such as internet modelling, for the people currently doing this, is it worth signing up to more than 1 site as an agent?

I am sure there are some things I am forgetting, but this update is long enough for now as it is.

If anyone has any feedback/advice/resources that you feel would be worth passing on, please do.

Update 3:

Adding more products to ebay this week, planning on opening an ebay basic store, Ecommerce stie still under construction.
Linkbucks is still ticking over as is the tumblr account im using to generate traffic for crakrev.

sales to date(figures are gross amounts):
Ebay - $732 in sales
Making about $5 per sale, still playing with pricing to try and find a balance to keep sales constant and try to make around $15 per sale. wich will be needed to cover the extra cost of the ebay store and the ecommerce hosting. I have a lot of products left to list so am hoping that within 2 weeks I will be able to clear $90 a day profit.

As i said in the previous update, just letting this one tick over while I focus on getting the ebay running smoothly.

Crakrev - $0

link expired, still have 600 items in the queue, need to go through and change out all the links for new ones, FML. Traffic has dropped off due to the link expiring, the tumblr account currently has 111 followers and a total of 351 notes.

Model recruitment is on hold untill i can set my desktop back up and running and get the files for it.
