Hi All,

This might be old news for seasoned professionals but I've recently learned a little email marketing trick that seems really obvious but I've never seen it mentioned before so I thought I'd just drop a quick note here.

What is the best time to email someone? Simple. It is when they are free to read your message.

We live busy lives. Who's going to read your email when it pings on their phone out of the guy in the middle of a meeting at work or the guy sat at home doing nothing?

So how can you know when each person will be free? You simply email them each week at the same time they signed up to your list down to the minute. I coded this and its defo helped my open rates.

If someone signs up, I email them a week later. Same day, same hour, same minute. That is when they are most likely to have time to read my message.

Hope that is useful for someone :)

That's a helpful tip for beginners. Makes a lot of sense too.

Great idea, it really makes sense

Very useful trick

Makes a lot of sense, never thought of this before.

How do you successfully execute this when you have a sizable email list? Say 1k+

what issues do you think you might have? My list is over 1k and it’s fine :)

Can this work with Newsletter?
I don’t see why not :)

Great tip sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.

Excellent tip, thanks for taking the time to share it. Will test it out.

Good idea. There's also a little known tool that will automatically email your prospect the moment they're in their inbox. Not sure how it works but I know it's legit.

You mean an autoresponder upon sign up?

No. Not just your subscribers’ interactions with your emails, but knowing when they are in their inbox engaging in any email messages as well.

Then what you are looking for is called "Automation". Not email marketing services or providers are robust enough to offer that.

I understand what you mean. It's like if X (e.g. opened or clicked), send Y message to such openers or clickers and /add them to Z subscribers email list.
