This might be a simple thing, but I read and read, even implement.. but i'm stumped!
Over a month ago I started a site which i'm targeting 30k MS globally, it's a site like cnet.com where it's a bunch of articles on [niche] or reviews on products [in that niche]. But i'm stuck as to how I rank my main keyword, let's just say my niche is "fitness equipment", how do I rank for my main keyword "fitness equipment" when my frontpage consists of the latest articles that are products in said niche?
How does Google find my main keyword if my homepage only says my keyword in the site tagline?
I've been told to create an authoritative article (2k+ words) with the correct on-page SEO for that keyword, which i've done.
I'm sorry if I have worded this really badly. But it's hard to explain.
