Hey Guys,
I hope you have read Nick's post - http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-build-your-own-pbn-under-275-15-domains.html . Its definitely a good thread where you can find info to get domains to get started with a network. This domain contains just a bit of extra information with regards to it.
In this thread I would be focusing on finding the right domains. Many a times you find domains with good PA/DA or good TF/CF and they are actually spammed domains. So you should always check the anchors and backlinks and avoid buying domains blindly with their metrics. Below are 2 examples

So lets get started -
Step 1 - Find a domain
You will get details on this from Nick's thread. In short get yourself ready with any domain which is available or you want to purchase from namejet or any backordering service.
In this example i am going to use knockabbeycastle.com
You have to go for the domain which is indexed in google to avoid any risk,
Step 2 - Check the backlinks
Go to Majesticseo or Ahrefs or any other Backlinks tool and look for its backlinks and anchors.
I would be using Majestic

I then decided to check the pagerank of its top 3 backlinks -

So the backlinks look like they can hold the pagerank and metrics for the domain. Many times there are domains which have backlinks but PR N/A or 0.
Step 3 - Check the archived data.
Once you have the domain with right metrics and backlinks move on to find whether the domain had a site on it or no . So we logon to http://archive.org/web/

So this domain has a website but it doesn't show up in 2014 but in earlier years . Might be a doubtful domain but still worth trying for its price.

Benefits of WayBackMachine -
If you are bidding or acquiring a domain at a high price it is definitely recommended to go for a domain which has good Wayback history.
So these were the main steps. I might have missed some points which some senior members could definitely add up to.
Alternatively you can also go to http://whois.domaintools.com and see if the domain was dropped earlier. I'm might not sure if that matters much or no but still a point to consider for high value domains.
I decided to make this thread because just yesterday i saw people bidding almost more than 200$ for a PR4 or PR5 which actually had those chinese/japanese spam type anchors.
Always good to make sure you do enough research before you buy high value domains.
I hope you benefit from the above information and it helps you in buying good quality domains and I wish you all luck with your PBN. I'm sure other members can put some more value to this thread.
Have a great day

- Even if a domain shows up a valid pagerank in other tools you would actually get to know if its real or a 301 or 302 to some other domain in WBM
- You know the type of website the domain had so that would help you categorize the domain.
- You can also use the content of these websites when you own the domain.
- You get the site history.
