I know that keyword density is optimal between 0,5% - 2,5%. But where, in the article or on the entire page? Because on niche websites, you can have on the sidebar links to "most recent articles" or "best articles", and there you will have your main keyword present. Also Google will treat your article as the main content, and the plugins and links in the sidebar as secondary. That's why I don't know if I should check keyword density only in article, or on the entire page.
Another thing, how about the non-relevant keywords, like "read more" or "continue reading" which will link to whole articles on a blog, how many of them on a page are too much?
Also, is it related the number of words from a keyword phrase to an optimal percent of density? Let's assume that we have a 3 words long tail keyword present in a text, "cheap gaming laptop", with a density of 2%. But also in the same text, the keyword laptop is present 8%. Can this be considered keyword stuffing, or if is a single keyword, is not that important?
