A Few PBN Questions

Hi everyone,

I've made a few topics here over the last few days and I've learned a lot on BHW so I'm really happy for that, and thankful to anybody whose gone out of their way to help me.

I've got two questions now, and after I get some answers I believe I'm ready to set-up my first PBN.

Question 1:

The point of a PBN is to get the authoritative backlink to your website, this means using high quality domains that you've either bought, got at an auction, or that has expired very recently. Right?
If that's true, and the main purpose of this is to get link juice (I think) from the website's high PA/DA/Etc. Why not just 301-redirect the domain, doesn't that pass on link juice? I know I've had to change my main "Money site's" domain a few times and each time I do I just 301 redirect and I end up pretty much where I was before on a new domain, isn't that how it works?

Question 2:

The current domain I've purchased I had some feedback of people telling me it was an above average domain, which I'm very happy about. However, the website was previously about jewelry before it expired. My website or "Money site" (as I keep hearing the reference) is about something totally different. So when I start making posts on my new PBN, do I make them similar to my money site's niche? Say it's about anime for example, do I make anime related posts then in one of them make it link to my website? Or do I continue where the previous owner left off and make 5-10 jewelry related posts then randomly make one related to anime?

Sorry if these are weird or noobish questions, I'm really trying hard to learn everything I can about PBN's and SEO. I'm really new to this so I appreciate any sort of insight, help or support any of you experts can offer.

Answer to question 1: The goal is to pass ink juice but to make it as natural as possible. 301 multiple domains to your money site, when the thematic is not the same doesn't lok natural, and a manual review from big G would kill your PBN. When building a PBN, make sure your websites look normal and legit.

Answer to question 2: a TF13 / CF28 is under the average of a good domain. I never pick any expired under 18TF. When it comes to thematic, you want to have articles on it (on the PBN) about the niche you're targeting on your money site.this way, the semantic and the anchor will push your money site the good way. Also, it's important (in my opinion) to push your T1 PBN with a T2 that will me thematized on your specific niche, and anchored on your target keywords.

Thanks for the insight, I figured as much for question 1 after I just finished reading lightningblitz's guide.

What is T1 and T2? I haven't come across those terms yet in my research

What is T1 and T2? I haven't come across those terms yet in my research

Money site, then T1 as in Tier 1 site linking to your money site, T2 as in Tier 2 site linking to your T1, and T3 etc etc;

1. 301 is a sneaky method of getting backlinks while PBN is lot more natural. Too many 301 redirects and you are raising a red flag but handful of PBN links from different domains can be made to look natural.

2. Content of the PBN should be related to the niche you are linking to. If the domain you picked up is related to your money site niche then restore the site to its previous glory with help from archive.org. That way your PBN will tend to stay under radar for a longer period of time.

1) Get a PBN domain that COULD be related with ease with your main topic. You don't need "exact" niche or TTF.
2) Write some posts relating OLD content and the topics you are trying to rank for.
3) Try to "rank" that PBN. Create tiers around it, talking about your money site topic. Use LSI you aren't targeting on your MS.

As your example, talking about an Anime site, I'd build PBNs around that.

If I have a Tech-related domain that I want to use as PBN, I'd post something like "Is CG the future of Anime?", talking about Fate/Zero, Appleseed, etc.

If it was a Psychology-related domain I'd think about writing around "Hikikomoris", NHK Ni Youkoso, anything around NEETs.

So in short, build relevance. I have yet to find a site that only gets backlinks from exact niche sources
