Another stats update. I have been doing a lot of manual work on the account, MP has been left out of it for a few days. I have had a couple of requests to post my comment on other photos in my niche, and also a couple of other requests outside my niche.

Nice journey. One question, are you able to engage/comment while MP is running without any problems?
Hey man, my accurate experience is probably not. I can tell you I ran into problems having MP logged in whilst logged into IG on phone. Unsurprisingly IG flagged this, MP was unfollowing at the time, and as I mentioned further up the thread I had forgotten to log out of MP. I was liking at the time as well, but not commenting.
I think the best rule is to be cautious, do physical IG work with MP off, and log out when MP is on, I never have trouble this way.

40 Follows per day is way too less 
U can set mass planner to follow 20 every 1 hour u will be fine 100%. If you have a bit extra money use Instagram ads they will slightly add more & if you have so much money pm me to skyrocket the stats.

Some advice:
- Post high quality content (I think you're already doing this). I had the same with my accounts. Lots of people commenting that they really liked my content
- Ask questions in the description of the posts to increase engagement
- As your running MP why wouldn't you add a few more accounts? Just let those accounts run on autopilot while you're focussing on your main account. If these accounts grow you can eventually promote your main account or just monetize these accounts as well

One more question, what about not using the phone to follow/like at all - Just let MP all the work-, but only to post (through the phone)?

Hey man, cheers for popping in. Yes, my pictures are probably right at the top in terms of quality, I literally take time to make each one pretty much perfect. People are sloppy with pictures, even if they do some work on them, they leave brightness out, saturation, highlighting...basically every picture I post is a drastically improved version of the original.
I do ask questions yes and for some appropriate photos I also ask people to tag friends, which they are already doing. I only do a question or tag comment at about 1 in every 4 or 5 photos.
I will be honest, I only want to focus on this account, I have one more account waiting in the wings, which is an awesome idea, but I am holding until this account is big enough to grow organically. So eventually yes I will have two accounts, both highly targeted, and because I only will have two accounts I can concentrate on interaction and engagement, which is working really well so far. Thank you and I appreciate your comments!

Hey man, I am noticing far better results doing it all manually. My engagement is higher, IG "suggested" people to follow is really good for my niche, and I can simply smash off 15-20 follows when I need to, and each one is already the exact person (bar the odd one), that I need to follow...IE the people who further down the line are going to become my customers.
I will use MP from time to time when I need to get some numbers up or down, but I seem to be working alright completely manually right now...cheers

Here are the stats so far, I have been doing everything manually for the last two days, and it seems to work a lot better, engagement is really high, and it's easier to target people to follow better.
All pictures that I post need to be posted in the first 6 hours of the day, I have experimented with various times, and anything past lunchtime GMT+2 yields only a quarter of the responses I get if I release my photos in the first few hours each day.

Another stats update, I am aware this is a slow journey, and for some it may not be exciting...but slow and steady wins the race! Anyway, I am continuing to grow this account manually, every day I am getting comments about the level of quality of my pictures, and people get involved with tagging friends etc when I post a CTA.

So I have started using three keywords for following, and on checking the results, the people I am following are exactly the right accounts.
I have the settings in MP set to only follow people with 25 posts, a bio picture and active in the last 3 days.
Here are the latest stats, I think I may drop the likes stat soon as it will get difficult to find out the exact number each time:
