Hello all,

I have been using this method with local big websites , and I'm pretty sure it can work with global websites as good as it did for me.


What kind of backlinks are you talking about ?!

I used this to get big news/other PR5,6,7 websites to link to my website ! , in in 99% of the cases , the link stayed there forever.

How ?!

First of all to make it clear , this will work 10x better if your website is legit & looks professional .
Works best with non specific niche websites (Like 2 sales pages websites , 1 page CPA website ..etc)

Now , you want to make it like you had a contest in your website , and that specific website won the contest, in most cases that site will show off and write about that , then link to you.

But again , you have to work on Not leaving any reason for the website to find the trick , your site must look professional , and make sure to include the other site competitors (Of course as 2nd,3rd,4th.. places)

Also make sure to know what is that site about , and write as much as you can good things about it , but also make sure not to look too suspicious ;)

Okay did that , what's next ?

Now after you have everything above ready , wait few days (Or just fake the post date , and comments if you are using wordpress)
Then send that site a message , try to find the publishers/reporters of that website and contact them all.

From my experience , this trick will fool 50%+ of the sites , but it's really worth it , a link from such authority website worth is much more than 100k's of profile/blog/whatever links.

This fooled one website , what's next ?

If this worked on one website , wait ~3-6 weeks until the news/post on that site is old enough.

Then delete that review/contest you wrote about that website , and make a new one for a new website.

Keep doing that as much as you want , and enjoy the high authority backlinks & Traffic of course !

good idea buddy, but I don't think you can build a many links at the same time using this method. But it would work for sure.

Yeah its not easy at the same time , but with time you can build many authority great links :)

Anyway, it's worth it :)

Sounds like my old "Marty's best of the web awards". Make a page on your site describing your "best of the web awards" Then design a image of a medal or award etc. Award them their "medal" - which is hotlinked from your site with an image link to you.

Old stuff.

I don't know if it's old stuff or has been done before , but I didn't copy it from anyone , it was my idea and it worked for me

Anyway , I'm just trying to help and give something to this great community :)
 
Not a bad idea, but why to cheat? Why wouldn't you just make an easy websites review / competition and award three of those and letting them to know some way. If you dedicate a page for awards and contest they can stick there and new ones comes in front.

It wasn't a bad method to get some good links though, and I never shared it. I had actually forgotten it until I saw this post.

Perfect man , actually I never thought about that before , but yes you can make a legit contest page , and choose one winner for each Niche :D

This way you can get few legit and long term high links :)
 
Been doing the same thing :) this will surely saturate things. time to move on to other tricks.

The web is wide alright but one authority site would be suspicious if there will be a lot of contest that they have won. lol!
 
But what about risk level. what about chance of getting penalised by some authority sites and consequently loosing SERP.

There are 100k's of PR5 + websites so it wont get saturated very soon :)

Anyway , if you have been doing this for a while , then maybe you can share us with some tips

Quality > Quantity.

You can build 45,000 non-authority, low/no PR backlinks... and it would be less link-juice than 20-30 Authority/High PR websites.

It's a great method if used properly.

Also works with badges. Same idea but you make a image in the shape of a badge that says something like "Best %keyword% resource of 2011" and suggest (not ask) them to use it (it stimulates their ego) on their site if they want "wherever you want, in the sidebar or header or within content to stimulate visitor trust". That way you could get sitewide links i they use the badge in the sidebar.

You can also give badges or awards to products of a company/site. For example you could make a "Best Video Card of 2011" badge and give it to an NVidia card and contact NVidia to let them know how well praised their product is and tell them they can use the badge i any promotional product for that card. Make sure your site URL is in the badge image in case they use it on cases. Or make some test/case study/etc. around a unique selling point of a product. For example for a passive cooling video card you'd make a comparison table with Top5 cards in that category. They might write on their site or might even put it in their flyers or product boxes.

The possibilities are limitless but you have to make sure what you're giving them is very useful for them and that your site is top notch and looks super professional and credible.

You could even go a step further and ask them to sponsor a contest or giveaway on your site. They cover the prize and you advertise our giveaway as "Best 2011 video card giveaway" or something and setup a giveaway page where to enroll you must FB like, G +1 and/or retweet. Then you contact all big shot sites and let them know about the giveaway. Make sure you give away something awesome if you want to have a chance of getting covered by big sites like Engadget for example. Obviously you ask them for their email to contact them in case they win, so then you also have a big list of targeted people that you can email specials/deals/whatever.

Hell, it's even worth it to pay for the prize yourself. A PlayStation3, a netbook, Kindle, an external HDD, etc. Something either targeted at your niche or broad enough so it gets lots of interest. In this case obviously you aim for something a bit cheaper maybe, if you don't have a great budget. A well implemented contest or giveaway can give you huge ROI in the end.
