$90 for garaunteed DMOZ - would you do it?

what is a DMOZ link? and how does it help.. or its just another quality backlink type of thing?

Forget man. DMOZ listing cost $900-1000.

For $90 risk is not worth it.

i wouldnt even pay $9 to get into DMOZ. I mean if you think 1 DMOZ link will be the answer to your SEO problems you have a lot to learn. C'mon be realistic.
 
it depends on the niche, has to be very close to what you are promoting otherwise it's a waste of money
 
who with the right mind would use a directory like DMOZ to find a site? It will eventually die out...
 
Your money can be spent in better ways to get real traffic to your site.Please do not waste your money.

i would do it if i know the PR of the subdirectory in which it is going to be placed.What is the use of placing a link where the page is not even indexed.

dm0z people are banning and deleting illegal accounts and links. so be careful.
 
Some ppl say that G dance starts from there.. it will always have huge authority. You should take the deal only if you site rally qualify and has unique content. Problem with DMOZ that it's flipped up, if you site not really qualify sooner or later it will be kicked out by Meta Editor.. it is really up to Metas who will stay..

^^ What this guy said. I don't think that DMOZ has the relevance or impact it once had, now that it has fallen into a state of shocking disrepair. But it still has traffic and you could make your money back just from organic traffic alone.

Also in some niches you really need the authority links to rank. Other niches you can get away with a high volume of low quality crap.
