60K Followers

I have reached an impasse. I used the follow/unfollow technique to get my account to 50k followers then decided to unfollow everyone in an attempt to look more "official" as a brand. Obviously I knew my growth would get stunted, so it was a struggle to get to 60K+

I want to know if anyone else did such a thing and if they went back to the Follow/Unfollow method or just stuck with it? What should I do?

Currently wondering the same thing. 30k account following 5k now// was following 15k before my manual clean. Never had a niche, just meme posted years back when it was in it's early days. My question is; did we screw ourselves? I have no idea what my followers are into besides humor lol, and you can't make money off of meme's and such.

For now, keep doing what you were doing to get to 50K. Anything else, just let me know.

Since you stopped you can leave it like that and try and get organic engagement and followers now. Post high quality stuff that grabs attention, use highly relevant hashtags that are medium dificulty and not too much out of your reach. Use like a lot instead of follow/unfollow. If you can use an engagement group or something similar to get some extra boost to your posts. Once you hit the first page for your hashtags your account will continue to grow nicely.

Post high quality content
Have that theme styled feed
Be creative with your posts
Make a blog
Collaborate with influencers - I recommend using Phlanx(dot)com
