6 years, 3 failures, my journey to $300 per day.

Is it a sidebanner or what ? Or text link on homepage content.
It's not natural. That's why you're paying the site owner to put it there lol. I build all of my links to my homepage and one other page on my site. A lot of times the one inner page AND my homepage are ranking for the same keyword.

Hi Dave guy i hear you say we must put our link on the homepage of other websites or any other high PA page of that website, what i want to know is what if a particular site has 20 high PA pages/ articles will it be safe to do link placements on all 20? Or is it like pbn's one link per site safety thing

could you tell us all how to find a page or homepage that has high PA without a lot of manual work of searching google and checking every page on each site, and tips on how to approach the site owner and ask for a link?

Scrapebox comes handy when looking at getting tasks like this done - It can as well get you PA DA -- So can have a target you working with.

Wow, interesting.

What are your next goals?

To be a soccer player

Had a private message with a lot of good equations so thought I'd post here:

- How did you approach companies to sell leads too? Did you email or were phone calls more effective?
- How do you work out a reasonable price of leads?
- Is there any way to ensure companies won't take your leads and not pay?
- Any specific industries that work well for lead gen?

- My biggest question is how do you rank for local SEO without a business address in the general area?

Answers

I just sent emails to all of the companies in my niche. I heard back from a few. Negotiated rates. Landed on one I liked that had excellent reviews and seemed the most professional. You want to be careful who you sell leads to. Make sure they are following the law. You don't want to get tangled in this mess.

For the price I used AdWords data and predicted how much they are spending to acquire one lead through adwords. I used a 2% avg CTR to forecast their leads per month. I then offered them a high price per lead. They negotiated down. I went up. Agreed at a good price. Always ask more than you want.

I had this concern, but that's why you vet the company you're going to work with. Make sure they are not shady. I was owed 2k before I got paid. I trusted them. Then I got paid.

Can't answer this one. All service industries need leads. Contractors, consultants, real estate.

Ranking for local SEO isn't my forte. Too hard in my experience. Don't need to be local to sell leads.

Hi,

Valuable info. You say links in the sidebar and the footer are not good. Can you give an example of a good homepage link?

text link on homepage. You don't want the sidebar or footer links. They're no good.
footer and sidebar are also located at the home page.

Works great for me, same as any other homepage link.

P.S. Your OP post should be sticky, seriously. Not because it is groundbreaking, but because some people cant seem to understand that homepage links are the way to go (yes, still in 2018 and beyond)

you have 12 links all with the exact KW ?? no anchor delusion with some other vary links or so ?

Good to know. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of not getting a sidebar link that is a link on every page of the site. I'll admit, I don't really have any data to back up my claim on this one. If you say it works, that's very good to know.

Nope. I'm spammy as shit. All of my links are exact kw match anchor text. I mix up the anchor text to go after the KW i want, but I only have one that is a bare link to https://blahblah.com

One of the best article I've read on this forum , thank you !?
Q: do you support the idea of making sites about things you love to do . or it is about following the best opportunities and where money is ?

The question is WHERE do you grab these links...

Buying backlinks keeps getting scarier the smarter google gets. After working on one of my affiliate sites for 2 years, I would be devastated if I purchased some type of spammy links. Even looking through the blackhatworld forums, how do you really know what links are 100% legit?

Anyways, fantastic read... congrats on your $300 / month revenue. Your post made me create an account just so I could reply to you.

That was $300 a day lol xx

Congrats OP.

Glad you stuck with it.

My story is kinda similar too :)

Thanks for sharing. The way you've told it was fun so it was quite interesting to read. Now, just to be clear... you recommend that I should buy links?

Thanks a lot for sharing all this information Dave! Besides buying links, one other advice from you is stuck in my mind ... never give up .. it seems you are determined and a good structure/process in place, key-elements to success.

the 6 year journey that made it entertaining. almost makes me want to get back at content ranking again
