50+ Penalty?

My site just got penalized several hours ago.
Previously, all keywords I track are at 2-5 position on Google.
Now, all of those keywords are at 50-60 ish position.

I use PBN (little, around 15 sites) and web 2.0 sites
According to ahrefs, the spread of anchor texts are from 2% - 18%
I don't use those 'click here, url, this site" types of anchors.

I believe this kind of penalty is algorithmic (correct me)
Do you think I can re-optimize and reclaim my first page position?
Anyone have successfully do this?
What should I do?
Re-optimize the anchor by including "natural anchors" like above?
Any other pointers?

Please advise me.

Hopefully someone in the know will drop by and be willing to share. My few keywords are going like popcorn in a popper the last few days on both google and bing. One term is # 1 this day and # 6 the next and reverts back for the past ten days or so. So there is some dancing as of late.

If you got deindexed, did you have them (PBN) all as WP sites? Did You have them spread out on the A, B, C phases? Did you buy good expired domains? Did you upkeep them? Did you aim them all at once on the site(s)?
 
You just got dropped. If you had manual action your webmaster account would be notified I believe. Maybe your network got hit. A lot of PBNs are going dead these days. Could also be a larger footprint throughout your campaigns. Or maybe Panda finally rolled out onto your site.

Add your site to WMT to check if you got a manual penalty. No point in trying this or that when you have not yet identified the problem.
 
Strongly believe it's not a manual penalty, if it were, you wouldn't rank anywhere, period.

Sounds like a standard penguin/panda algorithmic penalty. Dilute your PBN links' anchor text, either change them or add more, I've also had success with using 301 redirects too. Before any of that though, make sure your on-page isn't over optimised. Based on my experience, I've seen recoveries in 2-3 weeks if you get everything right.

Oh another way to trip an algorithmic penalty that I've never seen anyone mention but I've experienced first hand, is over-optimisation of your internal links' anchor text, I've seen a recovery in under a week if that's your problem.

The recovery won't be easy. But you can try, unless you've been struck down by manual penalty, which I don't think is the case in point.
 
Have you checked if your PBN's are still indexed? And your 18% anchor, is that exact keyword?
 
If you are running an affiliate website with thin/duplicate content and low authority and you are 100% sure you are penalized then just move on to a new domain (you can try 301 also) you have a very low chance to recover the ranking any time soon with that domain

If you decide to move on a a new domain try not to repeat the same mistakes that led to this penalty (possibly over-usage of anchor text with lacking of diversity)
 
Looks similar to mine, took 10+ days before it jump back to it's old place.

I am experiencing somewhat similar thing. Can you tell what were your position on which you jumped and the original position after it?

Thanks all for the suggestions.
Currently I am gradually building more links, all will be using 'natural' anchor like "URL, domain, click here, this page" and the likes. Hopefully it will help, but I'm also moving to a new site now (covering the same niche).

For the record, all the sites in my PBN are built in wordpress, I'm not sure if it creates a footprint considering this is just a small PBN. All are hosted on different hosting account, using different themes, privacy register, all contents are unique hand written. Edit: Just checked, they're all still indexed.

Question, just in case the old site can't recover its old rank, is it okay to just edit the link on my PBN sites and point it to my new site? Is that okay or a NO NO? Of course additional links will be built as well. Suggestion?

Actually, it doesn't work that way if you got penalized....
