Good content and Youtube videos rank about equal for me. But, it might differ for others depending on what content you are offering as not everyone's content is going to be equal.

I agree with all these factors listed above which are necessary for SEO. When it comes to the step by step, first stage would be proper keyword research, Quality content will be the next part..

I think the original poster created this thread to gain more knowledge on the subject (why he did not use the search function is a mystery), which is why he asked us what we believe the top 5 factors for SEO are. It's disappointing that he didn't explicate his reasoning behind choosing those links instead of posting a minuscule list of terms he just learnt today.

Social signals never help you to rank...I dont know how you consider this as a ranking factor....If you ask me quality content,quality backlinks are the 2 most important factor for ranking in google.
