$5,000 Per Month WITHIN a Month

Dude, earning $5k a month amounts to $60k a year.

$750/month rent * 12 months is $9k right there, so now even with your initial $5k investment you're at $56k for the year.

Also, have you considered the costs of furniture, computers, phones, internet connections, etc?

5 employees earning minimum wage of about $7.25/hr comes out to $36.25/hr cost to you, at 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week, comes out to $1,450 a week * 52 weeks in a year is about $75k.

So now you're $15k in the hole.

Not to mention, 100 calls a day per person - an 8 hr shift is 480 minutes divided by 100, that means they would have to pitch and close a sale in under 5 minutes per call. Are you serious?

No but seriously OP with your $5k start-up capital you may not even have enough money to run a profitable BHW service thread, let alone a brick and mortar business with employees.

A lot of experienced members on BHW that run successful SEO ventures have commented in this thread, and the common consensus is it aint happening. Even if you had 10 times the start-up capital you have it'd still be a terrible idea.

I seriously hope you're trolling, if not I look forward to your "I've been doing SEO for blah blah years now and only made $20, I'm a failure" thread. (On a side note they should create a section just for those threads) lol

It's good idea.. But your field that you choose is a specialty field which need very much attention and time.. But we doesn't know if we don't try...
Good luck bro

the monthly profit after expenses would be $3,250.
So you're paying your 5 employees almost nothing?

$5000 income
$3250 profit
so $1750 in expenses

$1750 / 5 employees = $350 per person per month
$350 / 160hours per month ~ $2/h

Just to chime in, $1000 sale is not harder than $100 sale. You just need to be prepared for it, and talk with the right people.

Other than that, again OP - your calculations in OP have no chance in reality. Even if they turn out to be correct, you have no chance to know that right now. Do some testing alone before going all in with your 5k. Test the waters first.

Selling SEO is VERY competitive. Every business on the globe gets phone calls every week from hopefuls trying to sell them on SEO. Really though they do.

I wouldn't try to crack into this market unless you are VERY good at talking and selling stuff.

Also not sure how they'd feel about the quality you offer at $99 when they will certainly know that 99% of companies charge at least 5 tmes that amount.

Could definitely work but be careful and consider these points.

There are 1000000x more SEO companies than Hosting Companies I bet lol. Go on BHW SEO marketplace you'll find every celebrity and TV show has its own package. Miley Cyrus SEO GOOD RESULTS YES! Mickey Mouse SEO! Breaking Bad SEO! I'm making these up but I guarantee they exist somewhere on the web if not here haha.

Make a negative SEO service for 99$. That's easier and original. I'm just joking. You're obviously a scammer.

Veyron is a sharp operator, after the idea has risen, went viral, been sold and forgotten about he comes up with,

Shipyourbossglitter.com how original, must have singed the grey matter on that one lol.

His Twitter reads like an amateur ceosam.

What sort of SEO service would you be able to provide each business with for $99 monthly? The amount looks ridiculously low for even the easiest of keywords.

Well i would love to see this. The newb registered here just to show us how he earn 5000 per month. If you earn that much why would you waste your time on forums ?

This is ridiculous, whether you're a scammer moron or not.
Go to an accountant and he will fall off his chair laughing at your plans.
Why start a business with high overheads? That's a lunatic's attitude to starting a business.

I was notified of personal info that was posted on this thread - and I have removed it.

Why do you believe it's acceptable anywhere else?

Thanks to those have posted their input, and no, I would never perceive advice as criticism, after all, advice and helpful criticism is the reason I've posted here in the first place so all advice will most certainly be considered. It's apparent at this point that the pricing structure will be adjusted, I was thinking that lower prices would yield a higher conversion rate and therefore drive higher revenue/profits, but after reading some of the comments and running my own figures/expenses, I've concluded on the fact that both the prices need to be higher so that expenses can be covered and so there's a budget to offer a higher quality service.

I'm going to go ahead and offer the packages at the following prices:

$499
$699
$949

Personally, I feel that my conversion rate will be much lower however, with higher prices that allow for a much better service, my retention rate should be higher compared to if I were to offer a much cheaper service as a cheaper service wouldn't permit as good of a service. We'll see how it goes, already have a couple thousand leads put together and will be working on getting the phone system in place over the next couple of days.

The next goal is to meet with my coder & web developer who will be developing a site strictly for this service that will allow clients to log in to the site and check the live stats of their campaign(s) & updates and they'll also be able to manage their billing as well. I feel that this will help incorporate the professionalism I'll need to help make this a success in addition to the quality of the service.

With my current starting capital, I'm estimating that I can sustain this business model for 60 days without bringing in a single sale. A friend of mine who used to work for a large SEO firm now runs a SMM company with a few hundred monthly clients and he'll be assisinting me with this business. We're now trying to devise a plan where we could eventually cross sell our service(s) so that it'd be a mutually beneficial partnership though this is a bit farther down the road once this business model has proven to be sustainable and more importantly profitable.

Looking forward to your further input & suggestions!

Bro you need to seriously forget having a physical location, you don't have the $$$$. It's cool though if you don't listen to my advice about that, because nobody is going to lease you a commercial property anyway, so save yourself the embarrassment.

You're going to go into the leasing office and the conversation will go like this:

Leasing Manager: Thank you for your interest Veyron, ok so how you're going to pay for the rent?

You: Well I have $5k in the bank, but after I give you the first month's rent and a deposit, I still have about $3k left.

Leasing Manager: Um...ok

You: I have no assets, no collateral, and no track record of success.

Leasing Manager: .....

You: But don't worry, because I'm selling these services that these business "CANT AFFORD NOT TO BUY"

Just see how far that takes you bro.

Alright so problem solved, even though I've found offices for just $500 per month (Around 600-700 sqaure feet), if I don't see this as a practical solution at first then I'll operate without a physical location to start. A lot of businesses start without an office I just felt it'd be advantageous to have a dedicated work space for myself and those who will work alongside me. However, I'll probably end up starting by myself just to build up momentum and clientele until the businesses income comfortably supports an office space. I'll be the first to say that an office space would take a decent chuck out of my budget for this and perhaps I was jumping the gun with that so perhaps it'd be best if I waited to get space and invest those funds in to more important areas.

I'll probably end up starting by myself

Now you're closer to reality.

However, I don't think you'll be able to sell - unless your message changes drastically from what it was in your OP.

You'll either figure it out, or you won't.
