This method has been shared over and over again here. I don't understand why everyone acts as if its something new and spectacular.

Agreed. Also you are asking people to spend who in the first place didnt want to. I dont see any empowering hook in it. Sure any site can be made better. But if they wanted a fancy site they wouldnt be on this type of sites in the first place.

A bit short sighted. That's what sales is all about!

Because no one has any balls to actually pick up the phone and call.
Pretty easy to hit 10-15k a month doing this if you live in a populated area and hustle your ass off.

So i take my balls and call these numbers bullshit like 99% of numbers on bhw posted since i love reading about methods where you do thousands and where ops are trying to reach $10 day

He didn't write this. It's copy and pasted from Warrior Forum.

This method belongs on WF, OP makes out that business owners that use these free alternatives have no clue of what they doing, they do... the times that business owners don't know shit about the internet are long gone, the reason that they take the weebly route is because they don't have the budget to build a full blown website.

So you're targeting leads that you know are low on funds and you try to sell them with cold calling, the most hated way to contact business owners, i am willing to bet that OP never made $4- with this method as it stinks on all sides, the lead generation stinks, the leads stink, the way you contact these people stinks.

It is a piece that doesn't belong here but on WF, cus that place stinks too. @OP If you think i was bashing your method, then your absolutely right because you're sending people the wrong way up the track.

Wanna make real money from local business owners?
Here is a simple method that works always

  • Pick a niche (like plumber landscaper)
  • Pick a problem (like leaking faucets, rotting tree)
  • Pick a city any city will do (when you're a n00b start with a small town first before you go after NYC)
  • Create a site in that niche around that problem (like a plumber site specialized in leaking faucets)
  • Rank a site in a town (that is the easy part as you're going for longtail)
  • Get a account at Twillio so you can redirect the calls
  • Contact local business owners in the same niche true direct mailing (this mean just sent them a simple letter)
  • Offer them 10 leads for free (that will get them hooked if your leads are solid)
  • Close the deal

Rinse and repeat

This method works because business owners can see right away the added value of your leads to their business after you have give them 10 leads for free, and they will never leave you cus you bring them money.

Have a good one

yeah fully agree with fc-dh and there were some old methods which are still working where you can redirect traffic from competition to your phone number and sell it to any company who pays well for the leads

Great post well done OP for the detail.

I have done this method myself before and it works well but most important is the telephone calling, many people have mentioned emailing but remember these business owners do not understand the web and website jargon, they are wary of scams and ultimately people buy from people if you can show you are local or atleast understand the area it will be easy to close.

If you are scared of the complete "cold call" I would recommend sending a targetted email (not bulk spam) then follow-up with a call that starts (the reason for the call Mr.Business Owner is I am following up from the email I sent yesterday regarding a our current web design offer and how it will improve your online presence and business branding/sales)

yup been around for a while but at least the op says that and maybe by seeing it again some people will actually do something

thanks left op

Thanks for sharing this tutorial!

Everything that promises this amount of cash monthly is worth the consideration.

Does this method work if you email them? I have tried emailing local businesses in the past but never got a reply.
Also why don't you just purchase a theme instead of designing one?

I bet you have never picked a phone and started making cold calls in your life. Sales is a strategy which should create value to the enduser. Without a sound strategy its a mere concept which wont pay your bills. Just read fc-dh comment before you lecture on sales.

it does work with email. be prepared to do split tests because your email copy has to be really good.
i started blasting emails and would get 0-1 replies. now its around 25.

Keep your head up, continue at it, and, once you've figured out the ropes, its easy to net $4,000 in a week with this method.

Hey @OP I just want to ask you if you tried this method at all?
Does anybody else tried this even with 1 call?

Thanks

I'm still interested in 2015 resoults.
Does anybody tested this so far...?

First of all, you are correct in your logic about the lead generation, but although cold calling is the most hated way to make sales, it works. I agree that it's a pain in the ass and it takes balls and a long time to really master it, but again I repeat IT WORKS. If you do it right, you will make money! End of story for this one...

Second of all, might I ask if you have done yourself the method you just shared? Or is it all theory? I analyze hundreds of keywords per month (mostly for my other projects) and every time I stumble upon a local long tail keyword like the ones you just described, it just does not have enough volume to be profitable for the business owners. And no 50-100+ is good enough for me, as these are laser targeted visitors. By not enough i mean 0 searches.

Interesting. I know that I would like to be making this much in a week :)

Thank you for sharing this method. I've seen similar methods before but like many here I take in so much information from various sources it's easy to forget/overlook tried and true methods like this one. I myself have done cold calling before with varying degrees of success mainly because I'm not afraid of getting hung up on and I have a pleasant voice/phone manner (yes I'm patting myself on the back) so this type of method is good for making emergency cash.

I personally prefer working with web developers who know what I am doing and just pay me a commission so I can reference their portfolio and they can handle payment collection. Doing something like this as a JV with someone you can trust might be worth trying if you are someone who is great at web development but horrible on the phone or vice versa.

These methods may work for some but they never seemed to bring much success for me. I live in a very small town where everything is family owned pretty much. I mean just last year they brought a walmart super center here and the town sued walmart and said this is a local and small town where all the businesses are from hard working families and that they didn't want them here. Of all the businesses here most of the ones that have websites have professionally built websites by someone else. Of the ones where you can see they threw something together in like 5 minutes and tossed it up there when I went to contact them to offer my services and tell them about how greatly a brand new website can help them the majority just said the usual "oh thanks but we are not interested" I even had a few people who messaged me and said they liked the website just the way it was even though some of these websites look like a kid put it together in minutes. I just don't know what to do. When you live in a small town it's hard to find graphic design work in a place like this. But I haven't given up hope. Maybe when I move I'll have better luck elsewhere.

ditto, it has but there's still a lot of crappy sites on the internet lol
