3rd Ebay stealth account zero selling limit!!

eBay also has a call center in Utah and if you call in when it is operational you have a good chance of talking to them.

They sure do. As well as in Malaysia, Singapore, Ireland etc.

Most of the "stuff" done in Salt Lake City is not simple CS. That's were they handle the more shady issues and roll out the big guns.

My first ever stealth acct (made even before I knew what stealth was) was killed by one of these lowly reps making $300/month. It was from 2007 and had no limits and at one point I had over $2mil in items listed. Excuse me, I think I need to have a good cry now.

Yeah, I can feel the pain. I lost a few accounts myself because at that time I did not even know that they track anything and everything. Ah, the good old days. List what you want where and how you want. Vero was not thought of then, either. Wild Wild West.

Biting my ass for not having saved a few accounts from 1999 and worked them up.

I'm in the next time zone and I would say 80% of the time I had to call in, someone in Utah answered when it was their business hours. At one time there was a number to call Utah directly and bypass the ebay customer support que.

Don't we all? I used to have like half a dozen accounts from before 2007 paypal requirement, not because I was banned, it was just easier to organize what I was selling by having separate eBay accounts. Each of them had 1000+ feedback and no limits. I could have sold those suckers for 5 figures each

Live address would be a problem as you're saying. But then when I've read that story (few hours ago), I would rather provide someone's else live address where to be returned the item - he'll think that it's some kind of unsolicited gift or sth. eB will be happy - returned successfully, customer will be happy (refunded), I'll be half-happy, some 3rd party unknown person will be happy as well.

Sure, that will work for a while, but look at what the trend has been, they make you give more and more information in order to sell, and they will make it more and more difficult to dropship, and this trend is not reversing. The big hurdle was created for stealth accounts when they started comparing registration data to public databases. The next obvious step is that you will be required to send documents to even register a selling account. After that they will start running credit checks and if you don't have good credit, they won't allow you to sell.

We better get to work on directing all thoses customers on ebay to our own websites and build our brand while we can. It use to be a nice $8 profit per item sold. Now its like 3 bucks. Few more years its going to be nickel and dimes.

True. We still are lucky enough to average about 9 bucks pure profit per sale before tax but we also have items with 3 bucks profit. We do mostly toys and consumables so this time a year is our time.

While we average about 200 sales per day during the year, combined on 2 US, 1 overseas ebay and 1 US amazon account, December is paymonth with 500 plus sales a day.

But yes, I agree with toml. Pretty soon they gonna check you at the front door. And while you are in the house they check some more. If they don't like what they see, they gonna show you the backdoor on your way out.

Only way to stay in the game for the long haul is to have reserves.

what eBay does make sense if you start off by assuming that they want to be the walmart of internet. They're not interested in the small sellers, they only want people who can move a couple of million in volume a year and up. Everyone else are just kept around to keep up the fiction that eBay is a "community". They're going to keep chopping the sellers until the top 1% in volume sellers are the only ones left.

PP already have some "Pre-Approval" lines in their AUP section below. So nothing new, eB already have pre-approval SMS or mail letter verification in order to put the initial selling limits or 0/0 (for people using phone forwardings or virtual phones).

And that's not only for eB/PP, in the monopoly world there're G, AMZN, and so on companies that PEOPLE fund them with money, incl. sellers. So again PEOPLE need to build more companies that will drive traffic to them, and will have better CS, better systems, no such tricky patters for limitations and documents verifications "for security measures" and so on.

If someone put a crowdfunding project here on some of the sites for building "the next eB/PP", surely many people will provide their funds for this, incl. sellers. The general problem is that after 5-10 years - if grow like the current Skrill/Moneybookers - they'll need again to comply with US/EU/Asia/AU regulations, directives and so on, and request documents again. And again managers will need to hire $300/M agents, because DE/FR/ES/IT/UK agents will cost €3k+ for the same job, again HRs will need to comply with bad feedbacks around the forums and so on, and again CS Head-Managers will love the top 1% in volume sellers where reps won't have zero problems with them. So the same story comes again, and again, and again.

Just found these videos and this guy talks about the control and what they do (nothing new to me, tho), the guy that controls all brand-risks departments.

There are already many, many people who have made a perfectly fine alternatives to eBay, the problem is that they get virtually zero traffic, and the ones that actually do get traffic like Etsy, become just another incompetent dictatorship, just like eBay.

Because they accepts PP as major payment gateway agreement. That's the problem. Every marketplace/auction-based site should create it's OWN processing provider or use such - for example RU ones are good - no chargebacks/claims/disputes/nothing - Robokassa, WebMoney, etc. I really love WM for example - even low fees for transactions (0,8% per). If more people be able to fund their WM purses with money (kiosks/terminals around the world or such, there're many exchangers tho), definitely sellers can get their money from payments - digital services, tangible goods, etc.

Seems that the Western "democracy" (monopoly) world is not better than the Eastern "dictatorship". Yeah, there're Alibaba's companies, there're RU ones, there're many more. And people do NOT have such problems like those on eB/PP/AMZN/G/fB/etc. Not to mention the Eastern medicine.

not realistic due to banking laws

the problem with having non-reversible forms of payment would be that seller scams would go up 100x as soon as scammers realized that funds once it his your account can never be refunded. This is not healthy in the long run.

Uh, Alipay makes you send in a pic of you holding your government issued ID. That's a far more restrictive verification system than paypal.

A buddy of mine told me that he is praying every night for a bolt of lightning to strike down all of ebay's servers.

Every Sunday he goes to Church and lights up 3 candles.

But, of course, he buys them candles on ebay, paying with his paypal balance.

Something like that, yep. For MW: P. Passport (notarized passport application sent by letter to verification agents over the world or the capital city there), there is Arbitrage, things like "Business-Level" and so on - sellers can't scam for like 100x or so - they lose account, passport, business level (reputation from ALL websites and customers that they have been dealing with from the start) and so on + no option to get another account, except if you use someone's else ID, but very hard to fill the notarized app and sent to the verification center still.

When people are using such services as major payments providers for years, over decade even, I can't see much complaints, when I see not 100x, but 1000x more for PP only for year. Not to mention the stronger security (access to your acc) with a cert., with rules by adding IPs (your own static or network) and much more, hacking/stealing a WM acc is pretty hard, even for retards/n00bs that are using it (of course, with cert.), unlike PP's - even I can login on your acc if I got your pass from somewhere and know your IP from some forum, might get a VPN from the certain region GeoIP.

The most important thing both as a seller and as a buyer - I have trust, I have arbitrage options (if someone scams), I have BL, lower fees rate, many more tools and access, UNLIKE PP - PP is and example of how to NOT do business.

Scammers wouldn't care. They would create a bunch of fake accounts like they do now.

They can create as many as they can, the problem is that:

- Their BL level will remain 0 or < 5;
- I see their registration date;
- They wouldn't verified to be "Personal" their acc, they use usually "Anonymous" LVL acc, so only retards trade with them;
- Almost impossible to make "Stealth" accs.

Sounds exactly like what's going on with paypal now

- Can't know someone else's Business LVL;
- Can't know their registration, except if I use the "special link" for Verified status;
- Can't know if someone else's is using their acc OR the original owner is using his acc using a proxy/VPN in order to recover the funds after the transaction with "unauthorized";
- Possible for Stealth for many times. There're still retards tho that can't manage to get it full, they do "partial" stealth and sooner or later they're banned.
