Do you need medical proof for everything?

"The Cambridge University neuropsychiatrist Dr Valerie Voon has recently shown that men who describe themselves as addicted to porn (and who lost relationships because of it) develop changes in the same brain area - the reward centre - that changes in drug addicts."
So we see, the brain does change. Okay, the study is not yet published, but you get my point.
"Exposure to lurid images and films in the new media is de-sensitising so many young people that they are increasingly unable to become excited by ordinary sexual encounters, a report said."
"A 'paradoxical effect' is created whereby with each new thrill, or 'dopamine spike', the brain loses its ability to respond to dopamine signals, meaning that porn-users demand increasingly extreme experiences to become sexually aroused."
All proof you need is to visit some forums related to the topic, for most addicts their dick does not get stimulated anymore by soft porn, they look for something more stimulating, just like druggies, one line of coke isn't enough after a year, that's boring, need more and more. It may not affect you or me, but we're all differently wired. I don't need medical proof for something that is so simple to understand and makes totally sense if you only had watched the video or read more than one word on the site I've posted.
You have confused a newspaper article for a medical journal and fact. Here is the problem and this is from the articles:
"The report comes at a key time in the UK, as Prime Minister David Cameron has recently launched an initiative to rein in pornography on the Internet."
"The study included 19 people who said that they were addicted to pornography and a control group that had people who didn't feel the compulsion to watch porn."
I'm not sure about your background in science but these reports are basically amusing anecdotes being used by people with a political ax to grind so to speak. Also, I guarantee many of the 19 subjects suffered from OCD as well and if they weren't going through tissues they would be drinking or gambling instead. The sample size is far too small and you don't go into a study with a predetermined sub-population.
First of all, there are so many things said here that are taken out of people's behinds that it is hilarious.
SpiderBlast, I am sorry for your chain of events, but that has nothing to do with OP's plan: you introduced chemicals into your system that suppressed your natural hormone balancing apparatus. Same thing would happen if you
injected yourself with uranium. I am not trying to upset you here, but you are basing your view from a totally different perspective.
Now, from what I have understood OP only claimed that he will stop masturbating. That doesn't include sex with real persons, either with willing women or paid ones. Furthermore, his build up in semen will result in wet dreams, which is bodies natural release valve. So no worries that his sperm will be old and infertile, as it will rejuvenate on its own pace.
A lot of bad things can develop from excessive masturbation with or without porn, due to fact that brain is rewired in such a way, that its important goal is to reproduce. Once that goal is achieved, the brain goes into recuperation state, making you feel tired and forcing you to have a rest in order to refill your reproductive fluid. If you masturbate 7 days a week, well...you are in that state a lot - not a good state to be when trying to accomplish a challenging task. This was proven by scientists who were baffled why some athletes insist on sex deprivation, when it was proven that testosterone level remains almost unchanged. So, it's all in the head.
On the positive side, being able to control your urges is what makes strong people strong. There are number of great men that put their sex drive under control and managed to do all sorts of great things. Therefore, I guess we should give OP a chance and learn something from this journey.
We'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm not gonna attempt to force my beliefs on you. I agree with most of your points. All I'll say is that I believe watching a lot of porn is bad for some people, that's it.
Good post mang.

Look you uneducated internet mongrel, something isn't not related just because you say so. You're the genius comparing "uranium" to testosterone which is NATURALLY PRODUCED in the body. If you actually injected uranium your dick would melt off and you'd die. Inject testosterone and your muscles grow, your dick grows, your bone density becomes stronger, your skin becomes stronger and smoother, you become confident and energized.... that doesn't sound anything like what would happen if someone injected uranium.
This is your destiny OP......You will last about two months then go insane, slam your car into a pole and jerk off on the main street.
Save yourself before its too late.....get a girlfriend.
