Need your opinions on an idea I have.

Thinking about putting 30k into a Ipad accessory idea and promoting it like crazy. I am betting on the fact that it spreads and creates a buzz thus creating me into a millionaire, your thoughts?

Thank you.

iPad thing might just fail miserably and then you're out $30k. I'd go towards something like a subscription, so you're making constant $. Pm me if you want...

my thoughts?

do some research.

takes more than just a good idea, even on something as buzzing as ipad stuff right now. the fact that you're BETTING on your idea just going viral launching you to millionaire status is re-fuckin-diculous

just my thoughts....

For $30k you could make a damn good product and get in a number of big affiliate networks with ease...

How do you get into affiliate networks?

@OP - I would suggest that you sit on that 30K while you take an objective look at various things. I would hate to see that money go down the tubes on you.

A couple of questions... your Ipad ideas... have you implemented anything like that in the past?

Have you spent a bunch of time looking at CPA offers, CPA companies and affiliates?

What is your background when it comes to IM?

I'd like to see you not lose that cash and would like to see you take a few steps back and look at this using someone else's eyes.

Bear in mind that there's a few e-inkish technologies right around the corner that may render iPads somewhat obsolete.

Mirasol, Pixel Qi, Liquavista (I think) to name a a few. I wouldn't hedge on the iPad personally.

If you're set on this consider conducting some market research to gauge demand, or at least a focus group or two.

You can really burn through 30K quickly if you are talking about design, manufacture and marketing. I'd be really careful!

It totally depends on what the accessory is. You'll need to build a few test models of it and even try to sell some before you go and spend a bunch of money marketing.

I think that 'exploiting' the iPad buzz, if correctly done, could be a goldmine at the moment, but I'm really skeptical about the future of this tool when the initial hype will be over. I mean, from what I read it's a little more than a giant iPhone and less performing than a cheaper netbook...come on, no multitasking? WTF?

Theres atleast a million other people with the idea of promoting ipad accesories.
