I actually did really well buying up old pub (bar/tavern for those outside the UK) websites. Many old pubs have died in the UK and nobody ever grabs their old websites. It's a very valid PBN creation strategy if you're in the local hotel/bar/pub world. Some of these websites can be really powerful too if they have won awards or gotten a mention in the local/regional press. Some of them get a mention on local government business websites too - plus a coveted Observer/Guardian/Times link if located in London and got a review.

Thats a very useful idea........in fact for local SEO generally there will normally always be decent expired domains for dentists, restaurants or whatever IN YOR TOWN for free!. My ony issue is that many links may be review type that get scrubbed after a year or so.....but its still a great local SEO tip as well.

2. PBN.....food blogs are all the rage and is a super PBN topic ....

3. if you do 1 and 2 you are creating a permament resource you control and you can use for other projects not to mention for marketing. Its more work but they build up over time

4. IF I was a restaurant and a SEO turned up and said I do 1. and 2. for my clients I would hire him or her on the spot
