301 Redirects vs Backlink Building

I’ve tested both. 301s work great if the old domain has powerful, relevant links , but can get hit if Google decides it manipulative. Backlinks you build manually are more future proof, especially if diversified. If you have the patience, I’d go with real backlinks first.

Redirects can give a quick boost, but backlinks usually build stronger, lasting authority over time. Both have their place depending on your goals.

I’ve actually tested both too. 301 redirects gave me an instant visibility spike, especially for low-competition keywords. But over time, manual backlinks (especially contextual ones) held stronger positions and brought in steadier traffic.
