Hello guys

I have a noob quastion
If I buy an expirate domain for 301 redirect to an new site, I need hosting for this aged domain or only I need to register?

If your just buying it to 301 it, you dont necessarily need hosting but you can also 301 the domain from hosting level so really up to you.

Hosting is not necessary, you can just redirect it from registrar panel.

Most of registrars allow make redirection from panel

I personally am not a huge fan of the generic redirect where the domain is just "pointed" at the domain you want to rank but prefer that a page be uploaded that tells the visitor (the visitor can be the Google bot) that the page is being redirected and then automatically redirect.

It is what we usually like to do for our sites.

Most of domain registrars will slow you to redirect it without hosting

Just redirect via registrar panel. Otherway you'll have to use .htaccess.
