301 Redirect or something else? SEO

Hi,

I own a domain which is currently 301 redirecting to my money site.

It has the EXACT Keyword which the customers are searching for, example → search : london gardener | domain: london-gardener.co.uk

The Site which is redirecting has no backlink or DA, so is it worth to let it sit like that?

Or should I maybe make a blog out of it with backlinks and let it then link to my money site?

What do you suggest?

build backlinks to the domain you 301 to your money page. if it doesn't have any, it probably doesn't have any effect.
