301 Penguin Recovery Success

I had content penalty on my site and after some time i 301 redirected to a brand new domain..
About 1 month it was working well but a week ago i again received the content penalty message again..

I've never received any penalty messages.

What linking were you doing before and after you did the redirect?

Hey TK
When did you make a redirect? You redirected and you are still ranking for your keywords?

When I was first starting out I had over 70 sites deindexed because of interlinking and using too much wprobot. I ended up 301ing all the the sites to one aged domain to make one super site.

This one site earned me a lot of cash until panda. Just recently I started to redirect some of those pages back out to new niche sites as a way to diversify things a bit.

So you say that if I redierct 2 deindexed sites to a aged domain it may have a good effect for the new domain ?

I use h1 in my logo with the most relevant KWs as "alt" in it. h2 as post titles. I don't use h3 and the rest. I also don't use bold and italics for KWs on the homepage anymore, especially not on OBLs (looks extremely spammy!).

Wow, then your articles must be as hard as hell to read.

I have a site with good content but lots of spun back links which has been penalized. Does anyone know if a 301 redirect works here?

Hey guys I read this thread about 301?s. After reading, I would like to do this on one of my sites that tanked really big. However, I have a few questions?

1. When doing a 301 redirect, do I just redirect the home page in the htaccess file? Or do I have to do a redirect for all the internal pages too?

If so how do you do the internal pages? Can you provide and example?

2. When doing a 301 redirect, do I have to name all the internal page urls for the new site the same exact as the old site?

Please let me know.

1. u need to redirect each page to the same (or a relevant page) on the new site, otherwise u will lose any link juice from those pages (if u have built links to them).

example for 301 redirect:
RewriteRule (.*) http://[your-new-site.com]/$1 [R=301,L,NE]

2. if u do name them the same it will make the 301 transition quicker (in my experience)

Earnings are still good as you can see from the screen shot, about $40 a day from this site. It is also now a PR1.

Is this a result of the 301, or/and the depotimization? Would my rankings have come back anyway?? Who knows..

I've done the same on another site and it's rankings are also coming back.

I've also deoptimized another site with no 301 and it hasn't shown any improvement yet.

Nice to hear a success story, even if it is for now. I've had similar success moving the site into a subfolder and 301'ing into it.

So you don't need to copy any files to 301 a website? Do you build BLs to your old or redirected sites now?

From experience the lasting effect of this is not long, but of course every site is unique. Good luck with it

Interesting indeed. Good to hear that its working for you. I hope it would also work for me if face same kind of problem.

HEY GUYS!!! I want to thank a ton for an author of this thread. I did exactly same thing. After penguin I was still building links to my site hoping I would bounce back (no deal). Before the update I was ranked 6th. I decided to do 301 redirect after a while since reading this thread. Guess where my site ended up 4 days later after redirect? F*CKING FIRST!!! I was like 6th or 3rd on many keywords and now I'm DOMINATING!!!!

TK421, I OWE YOU BIG TIME!!!

People, use it as much as you can! I was discouraged at first since I haven't seen anyone in this thread using it apart the author, but man, I can guarantee you this works!! That's the main reason I bring this thread back to life, hope you all penguin haters read this post!

Beating Penguin is quite simple now.Soon i am going to come up with new Thread explaining how to beat them.
