Just started out on Affiliate business. Learned a lot from this awesome forum. However i am stuck with a problem.

I have a money site on 'x' host. However i also have an extra domain registered with 'y' registrar which i have bought for PNB purpose. The extra domain is not hosted as yet. It is lying idle.

I want to know as to how to put 301 redirection from the extra domain to my money site?
1) Do i need to host the extra domain and put up some articles on it before i 301 it or can i just do registrar 301? My registrar has no 301 option in the domain panel but has domain forwarding option there. How should i go forward doing the 301.
2) Won't hosting the expired domain take away all the DA PA CF TF quality?
3) How to redirect all other pages of expired domain to home page as i am going to just 301 the homepage of expired domain to my money site page?

I searched on net for the answers but could not find any.

Please help me guys.

Your domain stats wont be worth nothink in seo land if your using direct linking as you domain will get deleted.

setup main website with a good domain .

use blogs / video / articles / pictires as a traffic source
and send them to your second domain and redirect them
to a sales page on the main website.

so that means and hopefully the redirecting domain get punished from the search engines..... The main website survives...

this is called a 2 tiear setup .....

the idea is the main website with a sales page dont get deleted and you can just register another donain and go agin....

How it better the 301 domain get deleted but main website get saved so how do you
come to the conclusion it better to direct link to a website for sales....

Better build a quick 1-page site, 10 minutes work... It's always better than 301.

301 redirection is effective but you don't want too many redirected to your money site. It can only do harm and waste booth of domains.

Bignose thanks for your help.

But suppose if i put up a one page website for the extra domain wont the domain loose the link juice it had got for its internal pages which the domain originally had?

Or htaccess 301 of all the internal pages to homepage can be done for the expired domain after building the one page site as you are suggesting?
