301 Experience, Link Pyramids, Link Blasts, PBN Posts, Social Signals

I like the concept of "Falsifiability" - so this year, I went out to dis-prove the SEO GURU-BULLSHIT and the "make something great and people will come" crap you hear all day white hatter spitting out just to prove to them their 2000 words article...

So, like 3 years ago, I started quite a few domains and projects in different niches... all went will, well, till competition sneaked up and the # dropped.

cause I went on to other projects that stashed more money - I negletected them..
in those times, I neither had search console, nor a wokring rank tracker. Well, yada yada..

For this test in this year:

I used like 15 projects with different niches, and domains to test some ideas. like diet, fitness, even financial conculting.

some projects were like in real tough niches in .de. Some were in "easy, low comp / local".

all ideas were tracked with search console, statcounter and serplap...

so, I have a idea, WHAT worked. content on those sites was NEVER touched for years -> and now they receive LINKS. JUST LINKS. no new content. no change in nothing ONPAGE. Just LINKS.


So, in this process, I used like link blasts (3x), link pyramids (2x), 301s (3 projects), PBN Posts (6 Projects, 5 Suppliers), "Ready Made PBN Blog Service" 1x.


and to make all this seo-guru-bullshit times x falsified: I even use a 3 months old project and just uploaded the content as JPEG! so there is not even any words to "rank for", except in the title and meta...

site was tanking for 6 weeks. then:

I bought from one supplier some "ready made PBN Blog", let him create a hosting / article, and I just stuck one anchor with url to moneysite. it was 2 weeks later, site started to climb in ranking. from nowhere to #3...

To sum it up: expensive, everything worked. but took like 1 to 2 months till # start climbing.

Social Signals:
I tested Social Signals on 3 different projects URL. Nothing helped them rank. Wasted quite some $ for links. Well, I "resell" those now on fiver.


link blasts:
I used 3 sites in this case. nothing really worked. but I didnt expect anything from "forum profile links" and the usual comment crap and wikilinks GSA SER spits out and you can buy for 10$ at fiverr.


link pyramid: 2 sites. interseting: it helped ONE site, I did nothing on one other...
was like 40$ for one link pyramid. quite some expensive wasted money.
ok, well, it boosted the AHREFS stats. but not the ranking.


301: this is what really supprised me.

I just ordered two old expired Domains from a reputable seller here. double checked them for stats and spam. registered them on another (cheaper) host, did a 302 of them two to two different domains.. and just look at those stats :/
and those expd even helped boost other keywords!

problem wit 301: they just helped keywords rank on the domain, not on the sub-urls. (Which somehow makes sense)


ready made pbn service:
spend 50$ for this with a expired domain. was delivered promptly. and 4 weeks later, project went from nowhere being in nowhere land for 2 months to #3....


sum this shit up. this is blackhat. all this is blackhat.
and I got really pissed in this process.. why? cause I have been hearing for years this crap of "make good content", "quality content will help you" white hat nonsense......
I even DISPROVED this BS with one site just consistig of a JPG and
in the end that climbed too... there was not even 2 senteces on that page.

And I got pissed cause I spend a ton of money on non working "link techniques"

But in the end, it is strong and good links with the right anchors. NOTHING ELSE. RIGHT ANCHORS + STRONG LINKS.


In those process, I payd approx:

600€ in PBN Posts
150€ in EXPd / Hosting / Setup
100€ in Link Pyramids
100€ in Social Signals

-> Most Bang/Buck: are strong PBN Posts or expired 301 redirects

-> 2017 will be an nasty year for the competition. Cause I am back and will hit them hard. REALLY HARD.

You sound like you're mad for some reason. I'm not a Guru or whatever, but the fact that doing whitehat SEO is more interesting is because it will last in the long run. I don"t know what type of site you ranked or what niche you were in and revenues you had, but overall you had the exact same conclusion that most of gurus: a strong PBN and 301 will work most of the time.

Bro. Guess what I was doing "white hat" for quite some years? Onpage 100%, great content, internal structure, yada yada.. and that's why I am pizzed. cause I fell for this white hat marketer shit.

How long did it took until you saw results of the 301/302 redirects?

Glad, so askes some good questions. let me check:

#diet niche.
exp registered 31. august.
one kw went from 71 to #28 around the 7. october
so approx 4 weeks.

#2 health
exp registered 31. august.
rankings kicked in to increase also on the 7. october.

strange coincedence...

but this 4-5 week cycle I also seen on MANY other link measures...

but it is very easy to MISinterpret data..

that might lead you to think the 301 made the rankings DROP. but in fact it raised keywords from nowhereland to <100. so the "overall" rankings might dropped. but all individual KWs rose. some even from #80 to #20---

Expired domain 301's still work great, I see more people starting to use them now so get it while the gettings good.

BTW. just another "301" test.
2 old domains, have not been toouched for years. 2 expired 302'd to them.

one of those EXPD even had 100+ facebook likes

I don't understand.. Buying expired domains and 301 redirecting them WORKS? How is that even possible? I've read so much that it will get your website penalized and stuff

White hat works up to a point. But Google needs people to play in its AdWords casino, so it limits White Hat then keeps Black Hats jumping through hoops.

Question about the 301s: were they and their links niche/topic/content related to your money site?

well, it did not help to put any KW to #1. but it helped a lot to push them to 10-20...
BUT, bro. I paid some hefty sum for some HQ quality domains from 2 suppliers
not the usual crap you find yourself.

301 no1 for the test was related.
301 no was not related at all. old recipe site > diet ...

I have the "feeling" this "niche stuff" is also overrated

EVERY LINK, EVERY POST, EVERYTHING was on english-speaking content or formal english-content (except the ready made PBN, that was a former .de with .de content, now put together with english content and linking to a .de site, and having .de links). to make this even more funny for myself.

I got a ton of great youtube content out there. hours of great reviews, days of great how to / advice. no one is watching...
been at that phase that summer. bought myself into a panel and boosted my channel. also paid approx 600€ for this stuff. and got me some top notch software thanks to the VMB guys..

I guess I wont be paying taxes this year cause I spend too much ;(

but in the end. noone will pay it..
good HQ PBn posts are around 10$.
clean good expired PBNs are around 20$/piece.
hosted PBN site are approx 80-100 per Domain.

vs. free elbow grease, manual blog comments, sharing, guest posting or posting in forum. still, I advice everyone to start that way himself. I even teach that to my private client.

oh. and btw.i got like no "real" hobbies. IM is kind of my hobby, lifestyle and passion.
well, women are too. but it yet have to find a IM-girl in .de - and I think it's much faster to "train her" muahha.

The 301's probably work well, because all the power is forwarded by Google. They do this to stimulate to switch to https. Nobody will switch of not all the power of http is forwarded to https by a 301.
