300£ a day

So Google and other affiliate networks don't notice the C class IPs?
No matter how you look at it, you can't make 300£ from this...
I'm not a hater, just thinking logically... Email collecting? Sure, this would work well. Google adsense, cpa,...? Nope.
I've coded cpa scripts for clients, the first thing they ask you is ip check... By third entry all your form submissions are ghosted.

I asked some people that experience with IT and network and someone told me I can install Mikrotic device and with it each visitor that will connect to your Wifi will get different IP.
Someone have some experience with it or know about that?

The C class IP is only seen locally. As soon as the packet goes from the router to the internet, it has your public IP attached to it.
The 192.168.1.1 is used only locally, so the router knows which device is which. If you were to have 3 devices connected to a router, all 3 connected to gmail, things still go smooth not because of different IP addresses (google sees all 3 connections as comming from the same IP), but rather because of the cookies that each connection/session has.

guys, this can work with cpa. you just have to hunt down for networks who will allow this kind of traffic and believe me, THEY ARE OUT THERE! but don't ask me to give them to you. i did my hunting and got rewarded. you can, too.

1/ Would it be technically possible to disconnect the user just after he clicked on the LP, so he does action on content locker or whatever on his own 3G/4G ?
- User see the network
- Use connect to the network
- User is being pushed a LP explaining he has to fill a pool or whatever on following page to access internet
- User is being disconnected from the Wifi while a page is being opened just after (so the twist would be about launching the smartphone browser and URL with delay - sorry for the technical level... -
- User fill the pool

2/ In my area (EU), most shopping malls already have Wifi (ok... crowded but with no IM gimmick to access except ToS acceptance), so the value prop of such a method might not be so good. Airports, train stations, bus stations, and every places were you just wait for your logistics make more sense. I would also add public events (concert) and commercial events (Connecting to a official wifi in a b2b fair has a taste of 1982... ). Note on deploying this method on b2b events = $$$ leads

It is not possible, you need special permits for that.

Anyone familiar with Silicon Valley? This season's 9th episode had some similar idea in it.. I love that show :)

I have trawled through all 23 pages and am going to put in my 2 cents after reading some of the replies.

And I'm going to try it. It's only a $50 investment for a second hand router, if it doesn't work out I can just sell it again for the same price.

I'm the the UK too.

So, I used to run a paid for WiFi hotspot business on a small scale (didn't manage to grow it due to difficulty finding cost effective places to install enough routers and lack of funds.)

I used to charge for access but would offer 1 hour a day free to users to entice them, they had to create an account, so yes, people will go through the effort of entering details to get free WiFi. I never combined it with CPA offers because I wasn't aware of them at the time.

It is true no one is going to spend 15 minutes filling out a survey, but they will do an email submit, they usually pay around $1.50 and with auto complete the user doesn't even have to type their email address. Just disable all the offers which have a long, drawn out process to get a conversion. I think App installs is one of the best options, no chance of entering fake details, true there will still be the IP address issue but each device has a unique MAC address so the CPA network will know that you are not buying the cheapest smartphone for $20 to make $0.30 off an App install.

I spoke to two AMs out of five that someone else mentioned here saying none of them would accept the traffic, one said yes and one said no. I explained that I would actually offer Internet access. I don't understand how people keep saying this won't work with incentive offers, this is exactly what incentive offers are for. There are thousands of people using shitty fake COC/Paypal hack generators to promote CPA offers, give nothing in return and the major networks don't seem to care, the quality of the leads must be very poor too.

As for placement of the equipment I'm a bit sceptical about having it in a car in an airport carpark and the signal reaching inside the airport from my knowledge of WiFi signal range and London airports.

But there are loads of other options for equipment placement.

Most router only use 12 volts so just cut the plug off and hook it up to a leisure battery, one like this would be able to power the router for about 4 days. Put it in your car and park it somewhere like a busy park or outdoor area where people gather like the beach.

Or get a small battery like this for a portable version which could be put in a bag or the helmet storage on a little motor bike, park it up for free and come back later. If the returns are good and you don't mind possibly losing $80 worth of equipment you could even put it in a trash bag and leave it on top or near a dumpster which never gets emptied.

Ask a friend who lives near an area with likely takers of your free wifi if you can put the equipment in their house and split the profit.

Put the equipment in a bird house and stick them in trees in local parks!

Pay a homeless person who is selling the Big Issue in the street to have the bag with them while they work.

I think targeting visitors is the best idea because they get charged a lots for roaming data, they all want free WiFi, in my town I could point out today at least 10 groups of foreign language school kids with 20-30 people in each group, all with smartphones sitting in parks, on the beach and in certain areas in the town center.

Can you post the model of router you used and how you configured to show a CPA offer when peoples try to connect to your free wifi? Thanks!

Thanks for this amazing method bro. Will try .Best of luck you too.

That's really great to know that people are using some innovative ideas (or something different than a regular ideas) at large scale. The idea which ix expandable with a great potential.

Are you still continuing this idea?

Steve

Question: Adsense and Affiliate networks can detect that all the clicks/leads are coming from the same network? In the same day/hours?

this is still going? what happened to the guy who said he bought the router which conveniently broke, and then after the replacement he went silent?

There are about half a dozen people throughout this thread who claimed they were going to try this.

Strange how not one has come back to prove us "doubters" wrong!
