that's pretty cool, but you really think that's worthwhile? I guess you can start a viral campaign by causing people to not only like but share a post, yeah?

No. I would not waste my time with it. The only way I could see it being worthwhile is CPA. However, I personally would not waste my time, as I could see it fucking up, just before that magical day.....pay day.

After a while I came up with an idea, based on stuff I've learned from my studies back in the days.
Basically it consists out of setting up free WiFi networks. It may sound boring, but what I do brings in quite a lot of money.

For example. I drive to a shopping center, set up a WiFi network there and give them a landing page like many of the legit free networks. Instead of giving them a legit one, I give them my own landing page. Sometimes it consists out of Google ads, sometimes a content locker, etc. Lots of variations I do with this.

Besides this, they have to register, like most landing pages for free networks, which gives me a lots of different mail addresses, which I use once in a while.

In shopping centers I offer them ofcourse a landing page with lots of shopping related items, so it seems legit.
But besides this, there are a lot of different other places. Used this method at some airport carparks, not far from the terminals, and supplied it with a free WiFi. Instead of serving them a shopping landing page, I offer them a travel landing page, with ofcourse the ads, or a content locker.

Up to now, it brings me about 300£ a day on average for the last 9 months.

I think it was about time for me to bring something back to BHW, the place where I've learned a lot from others. A lot of variations are possible with this method. Just let your mind go :).

This seems like a super cool idea, how would one go about it and what expenses would occur. ? Is there any tutorials or step by step guides to do this I wouldn't mind paying For one either ?

Do you think that would work well in a country where a lot of ppl have access to illimited 4g (france) and not so big cities ?

I couldn't either, no idea of the interests of each person so in no way targeted.

Would be a complete waste of time IMO.

Then why do you tell someone 'hilarious' for asking whether they've been kicked out using this method? It's a reasonable question; sitting in a car with a laptop isn't exactly common behaviour.
 
I do pentest too like the OP (or like he says, because I find some stranges things he says, in particular I would like he tells me the name of systems he broke into during the OSCP exam he mentioned to have which is not for everyone..) and find this "method" strange on different levels, for example:

- as mentioned before, explain to your network that thousands of leads comes from a single IP (and be paid)
- 2.4 Ghz wifi signal will be destroyed by a pair of thick walls, also if you use a 24dbi antenna like one was linked in previous posts, and malls usually has more than a pair
- in 2017 90% of people uses 3/4g and doesn't even care if there is free wifi because the main mobile OS are not informing anymore (by default) if there are any free wifi

I personally think this is more a fantasy of the OP or an actual method which can really worked a decade ago, but today....no way

I hope OP will contradict me. Just my 2 cents

The more I think about it, the more it seems a fantasy to me.
If you really have OSCP you would be from 3k to 10K usd , depending on which country you live; and you would work 10-12 hours per day and spend at least 2-3 per day to improve your skills/study. No way you can spend 3 hours a day wandering to a mall and expecially risk your hardly earned certs/job position just to grab 300 dirty bucks with an antenna in your car....this is just ridicolous and no professional pentester in the world would do this
