Get a new keyboard?
That would be the obvious solution but it is a laptop.

It could be a OS problem. My solution would be re-formatting your PC and see if it still occurs. If it still occurs bring it back to the store.
Warranty is gone I'm afraid.

Reinstall Windows and give that a try. If that doesn't work, replace the keyboard. They go for $10 on eBay for pretty much any laptop.
Thanks a lot guys for your advice and recommendations. For now I am going to get a USB plugin
keyboard for a quick solution until I find out what the real issue is. Malwarebytes has found some
potential issues so maybe this will fix it.

Taking it back under warranty would be best.
If you can't then get some compressed air and try to clean it out.
if that doesn't work you probably need to replace keyboard.
get one from eBay - make sure it's new, matches your model and identify it by look.
As above, you should find a YouTube vid explaining how to fit it - normally it will be screws underneath marked with keyboard symbol, then possibly bezel off, then prize out keyboard - hardest thing is normally those last two bits, and you really need the right tools otherwise it's very easy to damage the plastics.

It sounds like debris worked its way under the keys. May I suggest a can of air or an air compressor as a start to clean under the keys?
