Hey guys like the title explains I have a 3 month old PC and the W, S, Z and X keys are
not working suddenly. Any idea on how to fix it would be much appreciated!

I am using the on screen keyboard ans mouse to click the keys and thats painfully slow.

Did it come with a warranty? That's not normal!

That would be the obvious solution but it is a laptop.

Test another keyboard,if it doesn't work try scanning your PC with Malwarebytes and remove all the crap.

It could be a OS problem. My solution would be re-formatting your PC and see if it still occurs. If it still occurs bring it back to the store.

If its a laptop then it sounds like a hardware issue. Hope you have a warranty if not you may need to look into replacing the keyboard with used working one from ebay.

My bet is on something shorted in the keyboard's circuit board. You might have to solder something or change some part.

Reinstall Windows and give that a try. If that doesn't work, replace the keyboard. They go for $10 on eBay for pretty much any laptop.

Get a small usb keyboard ! Test for hardware issues and then software issues. Did you update the drivers ?

Thanks a lot guys for your advice and recommendations. For now I am going to get a USB plugin
keyboard for a quick solution until I find out what the real issue is. Malwarebytes has found some
potential issues so maybe this will fix it.

    Again thanks :)

You can replace laptop keyboards pretty easy. There WILL be youtube videos. keyboards costs like $15 tops. I'm no laptop expert but I've replaced some pretty obscure parts in my laptop just by following tutorials on youtube.

Taking it back under warranty would be best.
If you can't then get some compressed air and try to clean it out.
if that doesn't work you probably need to replace keyboard.
get one from eBay - make sure it's new, matches your model and identify it by look.

As above, you should find a YouTube vid explaining how to fit it - normally it will be screws underneath marked with keyboard symbol, then possibly bezel off, then prize out keyboard - hardest thing is normally those last two bits, and you really need the right tools otherwise it's very easy to damage the plastics.

It sounds like debris worked its way under the keys. May I suggest a can of air or an air compressor as a start to clean under the keys?

Is it like the keys are just stuck or the letters don't register at all?
