The "write for us"/"guest post" sites used to work better but nowadays many aren't worth it. They are spammed a lot and everyone knows about seo so bloggers also know all the stuff already and ask for much more money than their site is worth. Better to just work with some bulk provider for those kind of links.

You’re right, the “write for us” route has been milked dry. Most of those sites are oversold and don’t move the needle anymore, plus the pricing is usually inflated. A trusted bulk provider saves time and filters out a lot of that noise. I’ve found it’s better to invest in fewer but stronger links rather than chasing every open guest post spot.
