Whois protection is nice for the average joe but won't protect you against anything serious... that being said i still prefer internet.bs seeing as they are offshore, domains are $7, and they offer free whois protection.

It means that if I have a portfolio of several hundred names, it would be hard to take action against them should they "mess up". If you do business with a country outside of your own then there is worry involved.

Here is how they work....The site is owned by Globat.com. If you go to Globat.com they charge $15.95 for a domain name. DomainsAreFree uses Enom to register their domains. Enom sucks and they always take at least 3-5 business days to get your site to the point of being able to UNLOCK it and point it to your hosting (DNS). The price is right but you must be patient.

Yep. One gets what they pay for. It's like getting & trying to transfer a domain from 1&1. THAT was HELL trying to transfer! I'd rather pay a little bit more and get better & faster support.

they regularly send u emails.. would you like a hosting to be added to ur domain? If you would like.. DON'T respond to this e-mail.. !

WHAT?! they charge u 40$ for a hosting...

i had load of troubles when i wanted to transfer my domain name away from them.. support tickets.. calls.. and after a few days, i finaly made it.. and the renew is 15$ sth..

fuck em.. just get a godaddy code.. and enjoy!

I would not trust them. Go with somebody reputable, even if they cost more. They could do a runner with your domain - imagine if you built it up. Is it work risking for the sake of $5?

If you say so... I've never heard of them and it raises suspicions if they're selling .com domains for $3.99, although I noticed they bundled in $50 of hosting as well, which would explain that...

It's a loss-leader promotion. They figure you will renew at their higher rate or purchase hosting. If you transfer out, you "win'.

I gave them a try and HELL- they are a pain in the ass! Tech support is filled with retards and the control panel is broken. I'll never register a domain with them again.

My choices:

1and1
netfirms
namecheap
enom
lws.fr
monikers

netfirms is the best IMO!
