Hi,

I was looking for a good place to register cheap .com's continuously. I have not found any good GoDaddy codes lately so I did some searching.

I found http://www.domainsarefree.com. On the right you will see $3.99 .coms. This will take you to Globat hosting site. Continue through the checkout and you can have a $3.99 domain.

I asked support, and they said you can get unlimited domains for $3.99 but only one per transaction. Happy hunting!

I don't suppose they offer whois protection? I checked their site and the renewal rate is $14.95 and you need to do it 40 days before renewal date.

That's correct.

They charge around $7 for privacy and you will need to do an early transfer out since renewal is pricey.

Guys, this is ideal for someone who owns a VPS.

This is not my site. Yes, you can transfer out after 60 days.

This is ideal for someone who owns a VPS (ie: is serious about web development).

I could me wrong, but If you buy it at 3.99 here, but then you want to transfer it to, let's say godaddy, you'll have to pay the transfer fee, plus a regular godaddy renew fee at the end of the year.

Something like 3.99 + 9.99 + 9.99 for two years i think. (obviously you can find godaddy discounts)

however this is great for quickly less than a year project (think flipping)

The transfer fee at all (I can't think of any ICANN registrars that do not allow it) do include a year extension on the name. I prefer to use Moniker since they give me a discounted rate. They may give you a discounted rate too if you have many names. Contact your account advisor/account rep. Here is how you go about the transfer.

1) Unlock the domain at Globat (domainsarefree)
2) Login to Moniker.com and click transfer the name
3) Obtain transfer code from Globat
4) Complete Moniker transfer online form including the transfer code
5) Pay the $8.99 transfer fee (which includes a year extension on the name, IE: it's just a renewal your paying)
6) The transfer processes

*You cannot transfer out for 60 days.

Ty...
Ok, u can buy 10 sites, but one at the time?

$8.99 for transfer?
I think godaddy better, I will buy 6 domains and get free private whois too

GoDaddy sucks. I can email the President of Moniker.com and get an e-mail from him within 24 hours. Typically he emails me back using his blackberry. Anyway, if you join up at Moniker.com and you have 50+ domains then email your account rep and see if you can get discounted pricing. I don't guaruntee they will give it to you though. I made an early account with Moniker in 2004. Long ago, I used to have $6.85 pricing- this is not the case anymore since the pricing increases. Moniker is a top 10 registrar.

Yes, according to the sales rep I spoke with.

Internetbs is cheaper than namecheap and offers whois protection as well

I wouldn't trust internet.bs with my names. I trust a company (Moniker) who actively participates in Domainers conventions. Moniker is headquartered in Pompano Beach, FL. They are a sister company of LowFares.com, Oversee.net, and DomainSponsor.com.
