2Checkout and phone verification?

Hi Guys ( and ofcourse all the lovely female members! )

So i am busy setting up a online store selling several seo services.
Since Paypal is the most 'trusted' around i need to collect also paypal payments, without getting the pp funds directly on my pp account that is...

So i was checking out plimus. Seems decent but they only pay out once a month... Fastspring twice...

2Checkout now stands on top of my list since they payout weekly and also are known with most of the clients...

I noticed they call up costumers if they received their service/product before they pay you out. I also noticed that on all their gateways costumers have to fill up their phonenumber.

Im not afraid my $ will be put on hold as i deliver always but can i also remove the box were they have to fill up their phonenumber so my costumers will be contacted by mail or after the verification can i remove that required phone# box?

I dont want my costumers to fill up their phone#, or am i maybe a bit para...

Whats your advice about 2Checkout and the whole verification process?

Answers would be highly appreciated...

For the middle man(2co) they are securing themselves aswell. They realize how hectic PP is so they want to cover all bases.
 
Yeah ok, i understand that but can i remove the required phone box for costumers once i get verified?
 
Mmm.. ok, thanks guys. In my opinion my clients would be maybe backed off with the phone thingy as im going into the in the seo biz.

Sure companies would not mind but a average Joe who wants to lift their position?

Maybe i just go with plimus afterall as they don't require phone#...

Or you could go with Authorize * net
They accept whatever information you want to accept. But they are a CC processor

from experience, I would look through thier terms and see if whaty our selling is allowed first, and then buy an account over there for the 1 time fee, before you sale anything, talk to your Dedicated account rep, if you have one. and go through the process of what you sale, don't tell them how. just what, if they ask how, make it sound as legit and whitehat as possible, They do NOT allow any selling of backlinks.. (even though i do) don't try it, they will shut you down. i just happen to have a really good dedicated account representative. just be honest and true with them unless its something not allowed
 
Just tell your clients that 2co (the payment processor) randomly calls people to make sure everything is ok with the transaction - to see if they had any problems etc. Make it seam like it's a normal quality of service thing. Which it is, if 2co has scammers using their service - then it's a problem for them. Position it as if it may happen and it's nothing to worry about. Better to tell them upfront then them being called out of the blue.

If you need an excuse, just tell them that 2co handles the payment processing for lots of merchants across the world and there is bound to be a problem sooner or later, so thay call people to make sure everything is fine.
 
Plimus are also assholes and can kick customers out because they don't like their IP's.

Paypal is the easiest on the customers and if you are not scamming them, you won't have much of a problem with them.

Well basically i dont want to get the $$$ on my PP account because if i have to cash out here in Holland it has to go to my bankaccount. And when its on my bankaccount i have to pay taxes...

In the past i transferred my PP funds trough tra1nex but they dont exchange PP anymore so i am kinda effed...

Then i realised i could use plimus, or 2checkout ( not anymore thnx Cyrus ;) ) to collect PP anyways and get it cashed out to my payoneer card...
 
Anyone here knows if fastspring accepts payments for linkbuidling/seo services?
 
I know some services which might let you exchange Paypal to something else.

Have you tried to add an Entropay VCC to your PayPal account and use it to withdraw funds ?

Yeah i hooked my entropay to my PP account and all is fine regarding that but it seems that here in holland you can't transfer from your PP to CC... Online to your bank :(
 
2co is good IMO when you first get started they will call the first 5 or so customers. I just sent the customer an email to let them know that my merchant provider may call to follow up. That this is a step that we take to help prevent scams. So if they call please answer there questions.

I sold XX,XXX a month through 2CO for a while and never once had a complaint/question about having to enter a phone number.

SpiderMonkey is right, I'm pretty sure they just call the first 5 or something like that and then never call anyone again. I think we had to bribe our customers to answer 2CO's questions, but it's worth it in the long run lol.
 
My opinion is that bribing clients to take the calls within certain professional sectors (such as SEO) wouldn't be appropriate.

Paying 5 of your friends some dollar to purchase from you & take the calls might be an option though.

Haha, yeah good point. Ours was an ebook so slightly different. People don't expect to be called about something they bought on a forum lol.
