$2500 to invest

I have around $2500 which I am looking to invest in IM in the hopes of creating some passive income.

I have gained some general knowledge regarding Internet Marketing, SEO, PPC Affiliate sites etc from browsing sites like BHW and other related blogs over the past few years, however, I do not have the programming/coding knowledge to undertake a project on my own, and more importantly I do not have the free time needed to make a project in this area truly successful as I already have a full time job.

However, I am fully aware of the potential revenue a competent site with the right amount of investment can generate.

If you were in my situation how would you invest this money?

A Joint Venture with an experienced IM'er?

Purchase a site that is already making a small amount of money?

Is $2500 even enough to invest and see sizeable returns?

BTW - I am not looking for an overnight success story. I am aware that IM takes much time, patience and work before you start seeing returns, I would be in this for the long haul.

Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

you can try the company its give you 4% each day for 2 years

So drive traffic to your shopify store to fb ads. When you get a sale. You buy it from aliexpress to the buyers house.
The reason this is awesome is once you see that maybe you spend $5 on fb ads and you make $10. You invest $50 and get 100 or $500 and get $1000

Get 1 main product that you want to advertise then add a few products as fillere

Do you see a good return on FB ads? Are they targeted?

Go after a target rich keyword, build an affiliate style site. Rank for long-tail keywords, and tailor work towards capturing those keywords. Actionable links, forms or content is best. I would say you only need about half that budget to achieve success in most long tail keyword markets unless you are going after personal injury or something. Use link-building services and web 2.0's to boost, since you have another full time job, this would allow you to pay for the service, and let the expert take over. Hope this helps.

FB ads are very hard to get set up so that you have a return on your dollar.

You could get lucky and make money with your 2,500.00 but that is not likely unless you are knowledgeable.

If you're looking to invest your money in an aspect of IM, get to know that arena well before dropping even a nickel down on the counter. Success as an IMer, or any business person, does not come without knowledge of the industry in which they are putting their hard earned dollars.

Although much of what has been shared is good, none of it is good for you unless you know that end of the industry and can rely on 5% advice and 95% knowledge.

Spend more time reading and learning before acting... you'll be glad you did.

$2,500 is enough to go 2 routes on YouTube. If you want to make 6 figures within the next 12 months though, you'd have to be prepared to dedicate a lot of time and effort to this every single day. Either invest in a channel that's up for a good price, or even better start your own channel and then invest in targeted promotions and sponsorships. Get traffic funneled over to your YT so you can grow a loyal subscriber base.

Start a channel about something you're passionate about and figure out a way you can easily stand out. Upload as much quality content as you can. When you're just beginning, even before advertising, pump out at least 2-3 HD videos a day. Only when you get big can you cool it down to maybe 1 video every 2 days, but at that point that frees up time to start a second and third channel. You'll experience natural exponential growth after the first 2-3 months if you advertise a lot, collab with people, and you can easily make your money back through adsense ads alone. But then you can monetize through donations through YT and Patreon if you have a loyal following, sell a product/service to them that's related to your channel, consult others, sponsor companies and sell shoutouts through in-video advertising, and then send traffic to your site or other social media platforms. Once you reach 10K subs you can use YouTube Space for even better quality videos. Marketing on Reddit will help big time as well. A good forum to check out for YT collabs and info is YTTalk.

Go on youtube and watch the youtube Franklin hatchet. He has a whole series on this from choosing a product, setting up the store, and setting up the ads
Thanks for providing me this name, it's a very good resource

All the knowledge you need to succeed in IM is on this forum & Google.

Spend $5 on a good notebook and stash the rest. Focus on a specific aspect of IM and get to work.

Read, take notes and apply. See what works and what doesn't.

Gotta experiment and fail a lot to find out what works. Success takes patience and consistency.

It's easy to get involved in many methods but pick one and buckle down. Master every aspect of that method until its profitable.

Once you're making money scale up.

I'll tell you exactly what to do

Everyone thinks that to make money on the internet, that you have to sell something.

For the past 16+ year, I have been promoting PPL (pay per lead) offers. The reason why is very simple...there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale.

I favor PPL offers that have a make, get or save money angle / benefit to them. This is what has overall worked the best for me and tends to have the greatest amount of mass appeal, so the potential to produce high volume exists.

There are many PPL offers that pay $40-$60 per lead that work well on front-en campaigns. There are those that pay less and more. The payout is not the sole determining factor. You can have an offer that pays $8-$9 and if it converts at 2X+ of a $20 offer, then it's going to perform about the same. On the other side, you could have an offer that pays $90 and if it converts poorly, it may not even be worth running. So don't get caught up on just the payout.

Examples of offers: Insurance, education, mortgage, loans credit, assistance, etc...

Also, it's importance to split test offers. In any vertical, there will be offers that out performs all the others. If your not testing to find which have the highest conversion rates, you will likely be leaving significant money on the table.

With any offer, you still need to be able to generate traffic. I have always generated traffic through buying targeted data(email). That way instead of paying for traffic, I'm building assets that I then own and can market to over and over. That way I then own the traffic and can generate it on demand. I do the following to do this...

I buy fresh / targeted data that I know what the users are interested in and there's a PPL offer that matches their interest.

I generate real-time co-reg that targets specific PPL offers.

I buy aged / domain targeted data. However, this is a bit complex and and there are additional tools / resources needed and not really recommended for the beginner.

Last but not least. I get get (fresh / targeted) rev-share data, which is data that has $0 upfront cost and then I split the revenue generated from it with the list owners.

All of this is completely can-spam compliant, as the users have all given permission to receive messages from third parties and with co-reg, the users are requesting more info directly. So none of this has anything to do with spamming.

With any data that you purchase, it's rarely going to be as responsive as a highly targeted opt-in list you develop on your own. So to compensate for this you have to work with volume. This isn't a big deal. as buying data is much quicker and cheaper than building a list. The key though is to always be collecting your opens / clickers and removing the non responsive users. That way you are then building a smaller, but very responsive list that you will eventually send less and make more with each mailing. Plus your reducing your sending costs. Basically your converting it from quantity to quality.

This by no means passive income, as it takes work. However, you can hire inexpensive VA's for like $2.00 per hour and up and train them and then you just oversee the operation. Plus you want to use VA's any way, as they are the most cost effective way to scale the business.

There's obviously more to it, but it really does work. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, does 6-7 figures. While that is a huge range, much comes down to ones ability to scale and effectively manage the infrastructure that comes with scaling.

Anyway, something to think about.

That is quite a lot of money. You need to be careful on how you will invest that. As much as we have very many ideas of the things and niche that you can invest, people may lie to you and you end up putting the money in places where you will barely see the ROI. Just have a clean research on what you want to do and how much it will cost you. That works much better.

Since you already have knowledge you can build your own website, $2500 is a nice budget to start with.

I'd like to thank everyone that took the time to reply this thread, your advice is much appreciated.

Unfortunately I do not have the spare time needed to truly research and learn a method of IM to undertake a project myself. Obviously this would be the most sensible and safest approach to take but I just do not have the time to do it properly. Something I have learnt from running my own business is that if you are going to do something, do it properly otherwise not at all.

I will be mulling things over the weekend and exploring my options. Thanks again!
