2017: Death of Facebook?

Reminds of the line from the old Monty Python skit "Bring out your Dead" and the guy keeps says, "I'm not dead yet." Oh, yes you are:

As to Facebook what goes around comes around and they lost their hipster edge the minute all the corporations invaded the space. That's the cause of their demise not our blackhat efforts. Good thing they own Instagram!

Once upon a time people only were involved in yahoo and myspace they did not know about too much others, but in real terms face book is not doing any good for common people except wasting some time on it and uploading some content they dont go through themselves.

Well to be honest, nothing in this world is here to stay. Things change and that's the rule of this universe. If things dont change the this whole world will collapse. Its been happening for ages and will continue to do so. Google, Facebook are all going to do... it doesn't matter if it will take 1 year, 1 decade or even more time.. Just look.. after the invention of Radio, people thought that's the peak.. at that time no one thought about the TV.. then the Tv came and radio was totally faded out.. then came the computers and mobiles... In current times, the speed at which the smart phones are developing, TV will fade out..... This is happening ever since the beginning.. THe next thing which will be a thing of past is the internet.. something else will take its place.. believe me.. what it will be?? I don't know but it will be something new which we can;t think about atm.

It happened to MySpace, It happened to Orkut and many smaller social networks. Only time will tell if Facebook survives or not.

I read that article.

To me its just an article where somebody applied the 80/20 rule to a topic (facebook).
Nothing special there really, any fool can pick a topic and apply the 80/20 rule, dosent mean its valid.

Facebook seem to already be dying. less and less people are starting to not log on as much.. Its either people bragging about what they got or kids got or people arguing on facebook. I left it alone

I do not know.. but facebook becomes a market where only grows those who have money to spend on your pages, I just hope it comes soon..

Write some article Facebook, SEO, the pope, whatever will be soon dead and you sure will get lots of traffic/shares ;)

If there is one thing I've learned from my time on BHW is that most of you guys fucking suck balls at predicting when giant corporation XYX will die.

Facebook was supposed to be long gone by now according to the genius market analysts on this forum, not generating huge revenue and pushing a $170 billion+ dollar market cap lmao. Maybe Amazon and IBM will die soon too...

Nothing possible in this world.

Welcome to the forum mate but please don't bump threads older than 6 months old. Cheers

Not trying to be an ass, but is that a rule? I know bumping old threads by noobs is annoying, but what IS the time frame that an old thread should or shouldn't be bumped?

Also, I do not think Facebook will ever die. Myspace was mostly comprised of young people, so it was easy to move on for most. On the other hand, Facebook has users of all ages. Many middle aged - older people, which with that demographic it is much more difficult to pick up and move on that easily.

That, and FB is controlled by the NSA. They love their data.

Is this a forum rule?

EDIT: sorry page on my pc was sitting idle a while before reply so I didn't realize this was already asked above. Anyway, it's still a valid question as these types of replys do more harm than the type you try to sheriff. I think the post is interesting and would not have found it if not for it being bumped. Out of curiosity, if he wanted to discuss this topic, would making a separate thread be the way to go? I have a feeling not
