Move to an emerging economic country and start a local business. 200k should be enough to start something big enough to live off of.

1) don't buy cryptocurrency
2) divide the money into 5-10 parts and invest in parts
3) invest in what you know and understand: seo sites, dropshipping, create some kind of service and etc

Do you mean for them to move to a third world country :confused:? Owning a local business is a lot of work. I'd rather stay in the UK, invest in some safe index funds, and work normally than do that. You'd probably end up with the same outcome except you don't have to live in some third world country.

Also forgive my ignorance if you meant something else. What countries in particular do you mean?
 
Anything that tracks the S&P 500 will do just great. If you compound it, with an average return of %10, you will double the money in 7.2 years (read the rule of 72).
