Why not ads? If you already have a website, why wouldn't you promote it?

It's all based on your traffic and networking sources.
For example, I build tons of gov and edu authority links for clients. So I would invest my money in advertising my services. So if you have connections with offline business or if you have a huge twitter or facebook following that would determine the best way to invest your dollars.
