I also work full time, and over the past four years have grown my side business into a six-figure safety net and have been involved in several very high profile projects, to the point where websites I have created have shown up on The Today Show, content I have written has been included at the top of Google News, and images I have flooded onto the Internet have been plastered all over major news networks.
Figure out what you are good at. And then figure out how to make money with it. Don't come onto a board with zero experience and zero knowledge and start talking shit to people who are making suggestions. Get over yourself, grow a pair, and put the time in.
Use that money for three meetings at local coffee shops, three coffees for you, three for someone you want to have a conversation with to learn from.
