2 week old site already PR3?!

Hey everyone,

Just checked the Page Rank of my site (in signature) and I am seeing it has a PR of 3... Am thinking this is VERY weird since I only bought the domain name about 2 weeks ago. Am thinking this is because of Google dancing, although I have been steadily and consistently building backlinks since day one of obtaining the domain name. Will not be suprised if the PR goes back down to 0 but if it stays I'll just keep doing what SEO I'm doing now :).

crap i have been doing a lot of link building work..a variety of them and I don't know which one contributes to the increase in PR..does it necessary to have a high PR page that give link juice to a lower PR page for it to increase PR? I don't remember my link building plan includes links from high PR..:)
 
Don't be happy too fast.
The PR update will dance while few days/weeks.

That was the same thing for me few months ago.
A two months old website got a PR4 but soon after it fell to PR3 (and today PR2).

Yeah thats why I'm not really exited about it or anything, but was really suprised to see PR3 for that domain only after 2 weeks. I guess I'll just continue with the same thing I'm doing now in terms of backlinking etc.
 
If you have made proper backlinks, dont worry, the page rank will remain.

If you havent done any link building, its time for you to start now ;)

I don't have any backlinks showing in Google yet but Bing reports 11. Have been consistently building backlinks everyday from day one of purchasing the domain so hopefully the results will stick :).
 
Just seen my one month old site has a PR3
ill be happy if it GETS A PR1
 
Take a look of some of the shittiest websites on the web and there are some that are page rank 6. I am not goint to tell you how they get this, but it is very very easy. And it has nothing to do with blasting your site with tons of links

I have the same thing 2 week old site PR of 3. Getting about 50 visitors a day with a bounce rate of 3.33% and a Average time on site of over 4 minutes. I hope it sticks, been building it based on some solid principles learned here.

Actually, what most people in your situation don't realize is that PR updates are rolled out every quarter. It JUST so happened that you built a site, built some backlinks, and had enough time for them to be included in the most recent PR update.

Regardless, good job. But forget focusing on the PR and focus on your rankings, traffic, and $$. Since after all, that's what its about.
