Hi guys ,these days lot of reputed long term members itself involving in scam and most of them getting away with it .
Suggestion No 1
im part of lot of russian forums they have practise there to prevent scam ,the forum itself provides middle man service(exactly like escrow but forum mod will be involved) seller will post a thread and mention which mod is dealing the middle man service ,buyer will send email/pm to the seller and then mod ,seller will list out terms and conditions which things he will deliver ,once that is delivered or done mod will send the payment and take a part as commission,im not talking about small deals, but when it comes to bigger deals or allowing a member who is 3 months old and completed 100 posts and ready to sell we can use this.

Suggestion No 2

We can bring bhw coins, buyer can buy bhw coins which is issued by bhw which is not returnable ,and can use to buy and sell in the marketplace ,at any point of time seller/buyer cheats the system ,forum can limit their account

Sellers aren't going to want to exchange "coins" to get their money. No way, no how. It's annoying enough to get it from PayPal and other processors without another step thrown in.

At the moment we review marketplace services before they go live. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-black-hat-world-marketplace-rules.1295700/

If you believe this to truly be correct
Hi guys ,these days lot of reputed long term members itself involving in scam and most of them getting away with it .

Please either pm me the details or start a shit list and it will be reviewed.

BHW coins are not an option, an optional escrow service or similar is something we're reviewing at the moment.

It maybe a good idea. But I don't think it will happen though.

Alot of working hours for the mods. A huge delay for the buyer. Idk it's a good idea for a small forum. But for BHW I can't see it working at all.

We can bring bhw coins

Not going to happen. This would be a tremendous undertaking and isn't worth the headache.

MOD intervention in transactions? As a middle man?

They have enough to tend to as it is.

Most of the scams reported in the Shit List forum are as a result of people dealing with new forum members and/or members who are not paid-up Premium/Jr VIP subscribers.

Both of these scenarios are completely avoidable if people do their due diligence.

I visit that forum regularly.

Who exactly are you referring to? There have been a handful of market place sellers banned in the last 6 or so months as a result of Shit List threads, but not everyone was scammed and quite a few people were able to recover sums paid or receive the paid service eventually.

You need to state exactly who you are talking about here because you're seeing something that other people aren't seeing.

I have no idea who oxonbeef was, but the Shit List thread was started on 21 June 2014 - so nearly 4 years ago.

I assume BB means BigBuddy, this Shit List thread was started on 22 October 2016 - so 18 months ago.

Clearly we're at odds with your understanding of the phrase "these days". Something that happened years ago cannot be referred to as "these days", or in better words, at present.

so what has changed after that ? scams are reduced? cmon dont write bullshit for argument sake,i had an idea and i saw people who sell in marketplace scams and get away it ,i suggested an idea DD said he is working on escrow or similar thing ,you want me to sit and fight in a thread for your argument ? get a life man ,got better things to do

I like the escrow idea, it’s good that it’s being considered by DD. I’m guessing it would involve a lot of work though, unless it can be automated.

Bhw coins would be the same thing in reality - becaically creating a third party controlledholding period for funds, but the coins just adds another layer of complexity that probably isn’t needed.

Having said all that, there aren’t exactly many scams on bhw are there - considering the volume of trading / buying / selling that goes on successfully day in day out. Scammers are few and far between.

Sadly this is the case. People are quick to buy from a member who offers a cut price deal, despite only being a member on here for 3 days, having zero reputation or anything , then wonder why they got scammed especially after paying BTC or Paypal F&F.

I'm wondering if it would be an idea not only to give warnings to people for selling out of the marketplace, but also for people buying out of the marketplace, to deter this type of trade being carried out?

It's a headache for all sellers
Most of the time problems happen because of the buyers not aware of the service they are buying.
Ask many questions before buying to get a clear idea

I can say with confidence, the number of scams has been significantly reduced. One of the biggest factors was allowing only Jr VIP/Premium Members to respond to HAF/WTB.

Most of the MP sellers I've seen in the Shit List forum are there because of bad service, rather than intentionally trying to scam someone.

i suggested an idea DD said he is working on escrow or similar thing ,you want me to sit and fight in a thread for your argument ? get a life man ,got better things to do

An escrow service is, unfortunately, not straightforward.

There are financial regulations that BHW would need to adhere to and register for, especially if they are holding money. This is both a timely and costly process to undertake.

There are also some services and products sold on here that I doubt could go into an escrow service, purely because of their blackhat nature.

The other consideration is the cost of an escrow service. A lot of services sold on here, e.g. SMM panels, provide a high quantity of a low-priced product. It wouldn't make economical sense to offer an escrow service for these kind of services and you would also have to take into account the issue as to establishing whether a service was delivered or not.

I'm wondering if it would be an idea not only to give warnings to people for selling out of the marketplace, but also for people buying out of the marketplace, to deter this type of trade being carried out?

I believe @Zwielicht and @BassTrackerBoats already do this. I think it's completely correct as buyer ignorance is as much an issue as sellers breaking the rules.

Yes let's make a BHW crypto coin :D

Yeah, I've given warnings to members who, despite receiving numerous messages about how only Jr. VIPs and above are allowed to sell on the forum, repeatedly post WTB threads outside of the WTB/HAF sections.

Surprisingly, nobody thought this was harsh, but considering members used to be banned for creating WTB threads in the wrong section (according to this old Pofecker thread), they can't really complain.
