People conveniently forget about write speed limits of storage devices. And I think your local NIC or onboard ethernet controller would probably limit you anyway.

Storage? May be, Google's cloud servers. They may need plenty (understatement) of clouds and servers btw than what they use today. LOL ... Download and then upload. HawHawHaw

Currently i am using 8 mb dsl connection and its very fine for me and abt 1gb its soo fast .

Most Internet speeds are rated in bits per second.

Either way it's still very fast.

Line speeds are always quoted in giga/mega/kilo/bits per second; not bytes.

Tha't really pointless, I think, they should work in providing internet to those who don't even have a pc or internet to use.Also, there are people who is still on 56 kb/s , they should put money in helping those people.We are alredy happy with 8mb/s.

i believe at that speed is 128 megabytes per second not 1 gigabyte per second.
